This Year's squad so far is still better than what Brannen had at NKU for the upcoming season. Lots of unproven talent with an open offense, sky is the limit.

I have no idea about current interest but I'd imagine two options could be Fresno State (offered him out of HS, his brother played there, ~3 hours from home) and St. Mary's (offered him out of HS, a little over an hour from home).

His brother is now a free agent as well. I know there is some family issues and Im assuming its relating to health.

You crushed CJB early on when the program was hemorrhaging players, LJ being one of them. Openly saying he was a horrible coach not being able to hold on to Cronin's recruits. It's been a pattern since day two. Now that it doesn't fit you conveniently remove him from the rant?

I stand by his first month being about as mediocre as possible but what else can I do. I renewed my season tickets. All I can do is hope for the best.

You’re allowed to express your issues and still be a fan of the program. The closer we get to playing games the more bought in I’ll be.
But all that said, John Brannen still has to earn my trust that he can carry us forward. But regardless I want the players on this team who are left to have a great 2029-20 season and I’d never root against them.
I’ve decided to not be what half this board was to mick in his tenure, which was bitter, unhappy & never satisfied even after great wins. Brannen will get my money and my attention. I hope I was absolutely wrong about everything I said about him. Nothing would make me happier

I feel you man, I love me some UC hoops, we are truly a badass program, well respected across this landscape of college hoops. We should def be in a power 6 conference, difference between our football and basketball is that our basketball program has earned that respect over a length of time. I'm also willing to give anybody a chance but I also go with my gut and call things how I see them. As many may know I was never happy with this hire for previous stated reasons but you know what he's here... Now that he's here hell I want us to win I wouldn't be a supportive if I didn't. I'm honestly not feeling John's passion, I honestly feel like if he won here he would bolt. He's so low key and quite in his approach, two different sports but I love coach fickells energy just to use him as an example, bohn really hit a home run on that even though he was lucky the man was thier for his choosing. We'll see what CBJ can do, I'mma be on his ass tho until results suffice. GoCats always

I just wish he’d do a press availability or a podcast to give us a state of the union. He’s been radio silent since the day he was hired.
People will say he’s been busy but literally every new coach across the country has either been on a podcast or had a media availability. I mean mick himself held a 22 min media session on Friday and has been on multiple podcasts.
I like his opening presser. But since then it’s been a lot of bad news. Would really like him to come out and make us feel like everything is under control.

He was on basically every media outlet when he was hired. What do you expect him to talk about right now? I have a feeling if he was on a podcast you'd be saying he should rather be spending his time evaluating potential recruits.

Man you truly think I’m just complaining to complain. But I’m not, getting on a podcast or having a media availability is selling yourself to your fans and your potential players.
I’d have zero issues if he was out in the media. I’d love it if he was on all of the major podcasts. John Brannen is completely unknown. Not only by the national media but even by his own fans. More exposure is better.
I have a feeling that you’d have a problem with any critique I have, valid or not.
I’m just asking you hear from the guy sometime soon. He gave us the same exact opening press conference statements that he did at NKU ( seriously, its almost word for word) so I’d like to hear his thoughts now that he’s been the coach for a month now.
You act like I’m asking the world of him. I’m not. I’m literally asking of him what every single new coach across the country is already doing

I took a beach vacation to Destin, and brought a weed vape pen my friend brought me from California. I then become enlightened to the ways of John Brannen and more importantly that arguing on a message board is ******* stupid.
I think more so then anything. I’m just going to work on not being a super fan anymore. When UC lost, it legitimately ruined my day. That’s stupid as hell. It’s just basketball.
