Game Thread: UC vs. Alabama

Football game running over on ESPN2.........and I don't get ESPN Classic.

UC up 9-2, 5 mins into game.

15-4, 8 mins into game. UC up.

17-4, UC up.

UC with 6 players scoring so far. Bama with only 2. Bama doesn't know what hit them so far.

19-10, Bama with a couple of quick 3's. 9 mins left in first half.

Daggone Tulsa football game has gone to OT, and I still can't watch the game.

I paid the fee and I'm watching it on ESPN Classic.

Rubles poor shot selection is killing us.

Well, now Rubles with a really nice attacking the basket move in traffic for 2 points. Then a fast break with Parker for the layup. 33-27 as Releford hits a 3 at the halftime buzzer.

Halftime observations:
1. Too many jumpshots. Too many bad jumpshots by UC.
2. UC losing the battle of the boards, surprisingly. And badly.
3. UC winning the fastbreak points.
4. Bama seems to be making tougher shots. UC not so much.
5. Alabama is more athletic than I expected. Alabama is alot better than people made them out to be. They have some players and will be a postseason team.

Team struggles out of the locker room again. Last few games, Parker saved the team after half-time.

Win or lose, UC has alot of work to do to be a really good team. I'm really disappointed with the effort, especially defense and rebounding. Our halfcourt offense is non-existent, while 'Bama's is very good.

UC started out and took a big lead, but it's been all 'Bama since about 8 minutes into the game. UC can't handle Bama's scorers. Our defense sucks today.

Rubles getting owned a bit today. Just got blocked.

One of the worst played games by our team in awhile and one of Cronin's worst coaching jobs. He's been outcoached big time.

Smartest move by Mick has been taking out Rubles and putting Jackson back in. JJ is playing great D, and rebounding well.

50-48, Alabama winning.

S K just got blown up and no foul call. Ridiculous.

Good job by the officials to catch the shot clock violation. Mbodj with a huge block. Can't believe he timed that the way he did.

Probably Mbodj's best game as a Bearcat. It won't show up completely on the stat sheet, but he has been very active on both ends.

I will never understand why we let Rubles, JJ, and other guys take big shots in a close game and our Three Amigos are nowhere to be found right now. SK, Parker and Wright need to step up right now.

Kilpatrick and Cronin have no answer to the Alabama double-team on SK.

Rubles 3 point shot may be worse than Jacksons.....
