And Cronin puts Jackson in the game.... ugh.

Guyn and Jackson just stared at each other after the blocked shot.

I disagree. If you can keep JJ from shooting 3's and shooting altogether, his value defensively and rebounding-wise is heads above Rubles. If Rubles is struggling offensively, JJ should be in there.

Dont forgot about his end of first half debacle last game where he essentially gave the other team 5 points in 30 seconds. He did have a big block today.

!!!!!!!!!!!!

UC is the best team in the country!!!! We have a great TEAM with selfless individuals led by a future hall of fame coach!!!!

This is going to be a once in a lifetime kind of season enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!

That was CASH MONEY baby!! Cash helped them with turnovers but he broke their heart in the end. That Alabama team plays some damn good defense and Jacobs is a load. Now I see why UC was looking at him. Good win against a tough team. Not the Bearcats best game but good teams win these grind them out affairs when they aren't playing their best and that's what Cincinnati did.

Get off the crack cocaine. The better team lost today. We were lucky. Other than the first 10 minutes, Alabama handed it to us today. We were up 17-4, and their coach and players stuck it to us the last 30 minutes.

I'm glad we won, but I'm not delusional.

You have to win ugly, every now and again. Can't blame the refs this time, we missed shots all over the place and a lot of mistakes due to tough defense. I love the last 2 minutes, the drives back and forth and that fade by Wright. I think Mbodj was surprisingly good. This was a good test and will steel us, come Big East time. That athleticism they had, that defense they played, I think the team lvl'd up against it.

Commentators frequently said that Rubles was "our best player" and had the most NBA prospect/potential. Then they would say our two best players were Wright and Kilpatrick. Overall I think they did a good game but was a little confused at times.

Good teams win when they aren't playing their best. What I saw was two teams slugging it out and UC making a play to win it. Bottom line is it is a W. Will be a nice one in March.

Caaaash money that was awesome. Yeah it was an ugly win but gotta give Alabama credit their defense was crazy good and they finished a ton of shots. Gotta love our teams mental toughness, they hung in there are prevailed.

It is clear as day we are at our best when we push the ball and go offense. Basically that whole game after the first ten minute mark Alabama was able to set up the press. Way too many whistles and at time the refs looked lost with the quality of the game. Proud of the fans though. With so many whistles and poor offense on our end we really kept the noise up!!

Well, I agree basically. But I think Alabama outplayed us for 29 minutes. We outplayed them the first 10 minutes and the last 1 minute and came out on top.

We need a 40 minute effort with smart plays.

Worst game by Cash in a long time, but he pulls it out.
S K was erratic but made some smart plays down the stretch.
Same with Parker. We need the 3 amigos to step up during crunch times. We can't have JJ and others taking dumb shots.
JJ is a very good player if he would stick to what he does best and stop trying to do things he can't, such as shooting 3's. Reminds me of Ibrahima Thomas when he does that. But his defense and rebounding were key in the last 5 minutes.
Best game by Mbodj of his career. But he needs to stop getting pushed around on the block. Jacobs backed him in easily several times. And Mbodj seems to escort his guy right to the basket too. But he also made some outstanding blocks and rebounds, and even scored some.

We need to rebound better. We need to take better care of the ball. And we need to find some offense. Guys are standing around again.

You have some good points and I agree with you on most everything but add it all up and you get a W. Again these are the kind of games good teams find a way to win. They win when they probably shouldn't.

Last year the Bearcats lost by two points to Presbyterian. I'd say that beating Alabama by two points is a slight upgrade.

Keep in mind that this was #17 Cincinnati versus #26-28 Alabama

Overall I thought the energy from the team wasn't good. Good effort but they seemed a step slow to me today. Reminded me of the St. Johns game last season.
