What is everyone looking to see? We have heard about Jenifer, but who else are you guys going to be watching closely?

I am excited to watch Evans. Everything I hear about him is great. In the interviews that Dan Hoard did with the players, the returning guys seem genuinely impressed with his skill set.

Just for fun:
Grand Valley State 54
UC 85

Besides Jenifer, I really want to see Tre Scott because he seems like the biggest unknown right now. Underrated recruit because he came from such a tiny school and town. I want to see if he is going to play more behind Clark, or play the 3 spot as well. I'm expecting him to earn minutes like Justin Jackson used to before his senior year.

Besides these two I am looking forward to seeing how the weight/fitness training paid off for guys like Thomas, DeBerry, and Ellis.

Also looking for that first starting 5...

Caupain
Cobb
Thomas
Clark
Ellis

Kj and Shaq, both guys need step up and become leaders. Both have to remain confident entire year and don't worry about mistakes

I want to see them take care of the ball. That has to be an improvement so they might as well start right out of the gate.

Looking to see if troy walks ball up court with 30sec clock. Want see everybody but Ellis grab defensive rebound and push.

I want to see the new kids put in some work and I want to see if the front is as dominant as they should be. Would be nice to see Ellis earn himself a draft spot. He's got all the physical tools, the speed and the shot. Just needs to out-right ball for his paycheck. Would be nice to see Mick get one other than Lance in.

Honestly I'm excited to see the whole team, I know that's a generic answer but I've been ready for this season since last one ended. I'm interested in seeing the JUCO guys, Cobb, Ellis, Deberry, ususally you see a big jump in year two. If we get a big jump out of any of these guys we are looking at a special season. Our freshman look exciting but I never put too much stock into them early on in their first season.

I also want to see how much Ellis has improved. Most our guys put on muscle over the offseason, but Ellis put on 20+ pounds. Should be extremely beneficial battling for position down low.

yeah I think we're lacking that sure fire NBA player to take us next level. If Ellis work on attitude and offensive footwork he's unstoppable

Me too.

In the scrimmage game he took 16 shots and made of 11 of them.

He if can take 15 or 16 shots a game this season, the Bearcats will be really successful. I want to see him try to carry the offensive load. And Also get the other team in foul trouble

My biggest thing going into this season is this teams ball security. Guys talking about Ellis and his draft potential, and he is definitely making his way onto some teams draft boards, but he needs to work on his footwork. UC finished ranked 271 in the NCAA for turnover % last season, turning the ball over 17.6% of the time. That's awful. Looking at the list, not really any other top programs in the same ranking area as the Cats. I am sure Ellis was close to leading the nation in travels. If the Cats can take care of the ball, lower that TO% to about the 13-15 range, we could see them scoring 66-70 points a night.

That's beauty of a passing wizard like jenifer. He's going get Ellis ball so he doesn't need put ball on floor. Ask Martin what was difference between satterfield and Logan.

Jenifer will definitely give the bigs looks that just require them to take a step and finish. But he won't completely reduce our TO% because, as Mick as said, the bigs will get more touches with their backs to the basket. That's really when Ellis would shuffle his feet the most.

When jenifer in game everyone on court would feel more comfortable scoring. Cobb, tc, KJ, Ellis and Shaq all go see their scoring go up this year from jenifer setting them up to score.
