Hotel for Home Game?

I was just looking at my twitter feed and notcied that Jermaine Sanders posted about staying in a hotel tonight, which is on the night of a home game. Is this a normal occurance to stay in a hotel when in the city the night before a home game?

I know they do this sometimes with big games or games with unusual start times. Pretty sure this wouldn't happen for a 7PM tip. My guess is that this has to do with the 3PM tip and they want to make sure the players get a good night sleep.

This is true especially with being a Saturday 3 pm game. A lot of the players live in UPA and there is no way you will get a good night sleep on a Friday night. I lived there for two years and trust me it gets animal house in there.

It's also good because it limits the difference in feel between home and away games.
