We have two of the best defenders in the country in JJ and TR.

But how good has SK been? Cronin has put him on the best perimeter player almost every game. Watching him on pick and roll's is like the Rosetta Stone for learning the switch language. He just seems to slip by every one...and sometimes gets his hand on the ball.

Good to get the W. Losing at home to a Houston is not something this team can afford if it wants to win the conference title. SK and JJ as usual carried the load. I'm concerned about our D. I don't know if it's just we're not playing hungry and aggressive or that teams are figuring a way to beat it but it seems the last few opponents have gotten any shot they wanted against us. The refs were horrible. The AAC needs to send its refs to some basketball 101 camps to learn the rules. The and 1 with the guy hanging on the rim should've been goal tending. He missed the dunk and had the rim bent down when it bounced back in, that's one of the easiest calls to make. JJ's fourth foul was completely horrible. I thought the refs were going to blow that game for a second.

Did anyone else get stuck in that traffic on south 71 coming in? I guess the highway was closed around Ronald Reagan. Was late to my first Bearcat game probably ever...ugh!! Put me in the foulest mood and couldn't get into game mode until after halftime. I thought I might have been the one bringing the team down...

RE: refs

Why didn't the Big East take them with them on the way out? Do they live locally and are convenient to have in place? Is that why we get the same lousy B team announcers every game?

RE: Flu
We used to joke about the football team and full-team diarrhea as excuses...now I feel really bad :(

I cringed when I saw Jim Burr out there, and I'm sure somewhere Bob Huggins did also. Got the w, that's all that matters. Just win one at a time and we will be good. Love seeing Shaq be more assertive and hopefully by the end of February/beginning of March, Lawrence starts to come around again. Caupain needs to break out of his shooting funk, and we need Sanders/Guyn to continue to be solid role players. If we get 2-3 of these things to happen, I like our chances in March with our three seniors.

1) The refs are based off regions, not conferences. The American shares refs with C-USA and the Big 12. Unfortunately, Jim Burr is still around...

2) Those two call ESPNU games. We've only had them when we've played on the U. They are an upcoming duo. Wouldn't be surprised if they were on bigger games starting next year...

I didn't mind the announcers. I liked that they called out the refs on some bad calls especially on JJ.

For as much money as the NCAA makes, you'd think they would be able to pay these guys better and not have them needing to do 2 or 3 games in one day.

YES. Goddamn that was horrible. We were sitting in still traffic forever, then once we got to Ronald Reagan, we took that to 75 to just get around 71. Then, there was more traffic on 75. Luckily it wasn't as bad as 71 but it still caused us to be 20 minutes late to the game. Very unfortunate since we had very nice, pricey seats.

Complaining about traffic? More excuses? You all are obviously NOT real fans!:rolleyes:

Get Twitter... Was all over twitter warning people to avoid 71.

Seriously, the freakin highway was closed. You are saying that real fans cannot complain about being late for the game because of a road closure????

If you are being sarcastic I apologize otherwise that was an idiotic post

Went that way too and saw 75 backed up so I went to Winton Rd and took it down. Got to my seats during the under 16 timeout and the game at 8-7 so luckily I didn't miss too much. I should've gotten off at Pfeiffer like a bunch of cars were, but the traffic station wasn't reporting anything. Wasn't until I saw the artemis sign that said road was closed that I knew what was going on. Had 700 on from the time we left the house at 1:50 and got no word on there until the 2:30 report. At that point our hands were tied until we could get to Ronald Reagan. The traffic station at 530 had nothing on it at all. I know it is what it is, but it just amazes me how the city just shuts fown when there is an accident. And when an interstate is closed there should be a little more alert going on the radio for people driving.

Don't have a smartphone and if I did, technically it's illegal to be using those while you drive so not sure why why that's the only outlet reporting it. Ken Broo could've mentioned something on sports talk especially since they were covering a game going on in less than an hour, they do call themselves the traffic and weather station. I guess mocking the cheerleaders for wanting more than $2.85 an hour for their time was more important. I was pissed they weren't talking college hoops anyway.

I have Twitter, but I wasn't on it much before the game. My Google Maps didn't tell me there was traffic until I got on the highway. I left an hour before tipoff and my usual drive is 25 minutes, so I wasn't checking traffic when I left. Plus, there was traffic on 71 and 75. Kind of screwed regardless. Like David TYZ, many people were flooding in around the 15 minute mark, which is when I got there. Had nothing to do with the campus or exits or anything, just a couple of bad accidents I suppose. Awful timing; granted I hope the people are okay if it was bad.

David - "I dont have a smartphone".. Im not sure what that actaully means.... HA.

Ken Broo is terrible. The worst... Joe Dannamen is fantastic, by far the best around.

#bearcat - We left super early for the game... ended up getting there super early and yet the place was already packed.... nothin worse than traffic tho. Last game got stuck getting off Taft. brutally frustrating.

I guess I have to learn more about these. ;)

Can't speak for anyone else, but the way I use it implies I knowingly have my foot so far up my ass you see toes when I open my mouth.

Greater Cincinnati traffic, both 75 and 71 and all the connecting roads thereof, has been beyond horrible for as long as I can remember. Mill Creek expressway project was supposed to help fix that (in about 50 years or so, once I'm dead?) but judging by the project status and plans so far, looks like just another wasted effort. Really need an expressway bypassing all the exits to cross the river - that way things wouldn't back up nearly as much getting to the game and coming from it!

Basically, I don't have internet access while on the go
