Didn't Brannen Bench Jarron (the senior all american), and everyone freaked out? Wasn't that this year?
The difference is, Mick can put in another 4-star, brannen is puting in Chris mcneal or Zach Harvey, who had ankle surgey less than a year ago.
That's brannens fault dude, he let a top 15 roster deplete

Brannen has lost to Colgate, Tulane, UCF, Bowling Green (and almost lost to Valparaiso, ECU, Illinois State) in the course of one season with most of the same team that Cronin won 28 games with last year, and you're sitting here knocking Mick Cronin for never winning the Big East and not winning a couple more games in a crapshoot single elimination tournament where UC was consistently screwed on seeding and given shitty draws (think Kentucky in Lexington in '15, National Champion UConn in '11, UCLA in Sacramento in '17, grossly under-seeded Creighton and Harvard teams in '13 and '14, etc.)

Brannen has beaten one ranked team in his career (Tennessee, who was ranked at the time but isn't even om the bubble to make the tournament) and Mick Cronin is about to make the NCAA tournament in his first season in the Pac 12 with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. Myopic UC fans are getting what they wished for.
My god thank you

I’m happy he’s gone, couldn’t stand his recruiting, his offense, his childish behavior... just an entitled ass. Couldn’t even play high school basketball “cue bullshit knee injury excuse”. He was a joke in the city and We will be better off.

He lost to Presbyterian, Ohio u, Harvard, Nevada, ecu, and many more shit teams.

This team has laid multiples eggs (and almost lost several more) to sub-200 teams this season alone, and you're sitting here still griping about a game (Presbyterian) that happened back in 2011.

Like I said, UC fans getting what they wished for.

The two seniors on UCLA are 9th and 10th in minutes played in conference. Mick could have easily said he wasn't "in a place" to yank guys based on effort. Instead, he benched his senior starter (who started every game last year) and put a freshman in his place.

Brannen talks about defense and rebounding first, then starts the worst defensive and rebounding center UC has started in the last 20+ years.

He also puts up with lack of effort, intensity and rebounding from a number of the guards and forwards.

Let's hope you guys are right and once he gets his guys in here, things will improve. But it's hard to believe it.

We looked bad in all aspects of the game today.
There was nothing wrong with the guys that were here. It speaks volumes when your winning and doing it with not the most glossy of recruiting but in the aspects of results and players at going pro getting a shot. Cincyball had a brand n to think we just got beat with it today in a sense. Some ppl in here were proud to disassociate the program of huggins and mick its gotta be something personal there, bobs 6th all time in wins... I just dont understand it. This conf is dwn this yr by the way as im sittin here watchin shake milton dropp 30 on laundry shamet and the Clippers and 4th qtr just started

Lol I like that the mick apologist minimize all his failure and glorify his success... a 2012 sweet 16. Lol

Two guys mick couldn’t recruit because of his style of play.

Talk about bad hire... penny

Bra.... The ncaa did some bull you knw it, but thats whole nother story plus the team was young anyway. On top of that just bc penny hardaway may be a suspect coach that doesnt mean nick van E is set to be bad the guy that played with kobe bean Bryant... Like man what box think

Mick Cronin's "failure" was de minimis. Very, very rarely did his teams lose to inferior teams (and never more than once or twice every couple of years) but his teams were consistent and they almost NEVER beat themselves because they were DISCIPLINED.

At the very least, his teams were always 25-30 win teams and there was never any question they were going to make the NCAA Tournament, which if you haven't been paying attention is kind of a prerequisite to making a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

Winning conference championships and making the tournament every year is actually a GREAT result for a team of UC's stature. There are a lot of Power 5 programs that can't even do that. Focusing on a singular metric (deep NCAA tournament runs) that only a handful of programs pull off with any consistency (and they're all in Power 5 conferences, except for Gonzaga and Villanova) is just stupid.

The original staff left dude!! They left. You understand that right?
No i understand the administration dropped the ball. Thats what i understand and any man with some pride is not gonna sit up there and not be compensated and hogged tied with recruiting on a short contract

Sure bra

EXACTLY. Let's remember why Mick left--Mike Bohn and the administration refused to give him the raise and contract extension they should have given him, it was hamstringing recruiting, and by the time they realized "oh shit, he might actually leave" it was too late and he was out the door. Our loss, clearly his gain. He's killing it at UCLA.
