There's YouTube videos you can find in the recent years of UC vs. Houston. KJ has had some pretty big games against Houston.

Their crowd is not a factor and we have more talent. Only way we lose is if we don't take them serious, probably holds true for the remaining of our schedule.

More to basketball then just having better talent just really like our chances unless we aren't focused.

Tough to not take seriously the third toughest remaining game on the schedule as it stands now.

We will have to be focused on D and share the ball on offense. Hopefully we can knock down a decent percentage of shots and hope they don't just get hot making contested jumpers.

They have 2 guys who will give us trouble.

If we don't defend the 3 we could go down like we did last year. Need go out tough them and hit some 3's our selves .

I remember last year they took it to the basket virtually anytime they wanted. Completely outplayed last year. #revenge

They are a good team. Will be interesting to see the splits on Kyle and Tre. KJ vs Cumberland. We can't have them abusing us on offense. Kyle and Cumberland will have to be stroking it to get minutes.

I think Gray and Dotson are the only players we really need to be concerned with. I don't think Washington or Cumberland would spend time on either player. Johnson/Jenifer and Clark/Evans need to be the ones bringing the D the most imo.

I'd put the line around -2 for UC. Houston has a top 25 offense and a good enough defense. I thought I heard someone say they shoot 42% from three as a team??? That's absurd.

let's not overlook the likelihood of houston coughing up their home game against tulsa tonight, lighting a fire under houston and turning a would-be soft line into a -5 or more

I don't think Davis or Knowles can be ignored. They are pretty balanced.

Without looking at stats I think I heard Dotson is shooting close to 50% from three?! Regardless, they are very balanced on offense.

Im concerned with anyone who shoots over 40% from 3.

Add Wes Vanbeck to my list of concerns. Sometimes comes off the bench, sometimes starts. A bit undersized for a 2 guard (think Farad Cobb) but shoots exclusively from 3.

If they bring out a line up of Robinson, Vanbeck, Gray, Dotson, and Chicken, were gonna have to go small. I think we could match that lineup with Jenifer, TC, KJ, Evans and Gary.

I'd rather have Gary guarding Dotson, since he is such a good rebounder, but we will be a bit undersized against 6'10 Chicken knowles if we do that. The good thing is, he doesn't rebound all that well

A lot tickets available for Houston vs UC. 5k is probably the max they sell.

Its crazy too because the most expensive tickets are.... 16$

In their 3 losses (hammered by LSU and Arkansas, lost to Harvard by 1), they shot 34% from 3-point range. They were also just 5-20 against UConn, but the Huskies only scored 12 points in the 1st half so it didn't matter.

The only quality team they shot the ball well against was URI, when they hit 6-12 (and went to the line 31 times) en route to their best win. Closing out on their shooters is going to be the main thing. If the Bearcats do that, they should be fine. Their defense has been just OK, and they have generally struggled defensively against "real" teams, excepting that first half vs. UConn - and even then, the Huskies were able to get it going in the 2nd.

Good deal, thanks for the breakdown. Good stuff.

Curious, how much different is this Houston team compared to last years?
