These next two games will show where this team is for real. Houston away is a tough game...SMU anywhere is a tough game. UC wins both of these and their stock soars - lose 'em both and the balloon deflates enormously. A split leaves many questions.

Houston has one decent win...Rhode Island, but lost at home to Harvard

Also important to note Hassan Martin was out for Rhode Island in that game.

It's going to come back to, how well will Houston shoot the 3 & can UC actually run their offense and put enough points on the board.

Houston is top 10 in 3 point shooting. That's going to be huge.

More importantly, can UC run the offense they do against the cupcakes or will they revert to old ways. It's becoming glaringly obvious that we are a different offensive team when we play against more evenly matched talent.

I feel like just the perception of a good team (whether they actually are good or not) is enough to get us into the panicky rock-fight mode. I honestly don't know if we'll ever snap out of that with Caupain at PG. Hopefully Cronin continues to use the bench and gives those guys the same chances he would in any other game. We need them and they should all have his trust at this point.

. @UHCougarMBK guard Rob Gray (@iRob_G) continues to show improvement from flu but is questionable for Cincinnati game. Game time decision

unless you can tell me different from vegas boards, no one actually offered pk other than heritage. heritage sets early ass lines at low limits. not really a fair "opening" line. real opening line was -3.

Someone has to open and test the waters. The limit bets are insurance for them if the market moves on what it sees as a bad line. Hence, the other books skipping the PK and going right to -3...which is essentially set by the market reaction. So it did open as a PK.

This is huge. I don't think they can win this game without Gray. Dotson is a great shooter, but it will be much easier to close out on him if Gray isn't available as a threat to penetrate.

Just my opinion, no way Gray sits this one out. He's playing. Hopefully he isn't feeling 100%

I would put my money on Gray playing for sure. Unless it's more than the flu. We've had guys not miss a single game with the flu.

If gray has had the flu for this long he has to be better by now flu's last for 2 days, he's been sick for a week. He will be 100% and playing tonight.
