That was his excuse last year until tre and jarron started carrying him. Why would mick players out of all things have problem playing hard? Weak ass excuse. I think Brannen has problem coaching team mostly black players. The most interesting post-game comment from Brannen was the "we need to get some things in place from a culture standpoint, that I truly believe in and that have to lead our program going forward and if I have to sacrifice some things right now I'll do that". This is right after he talked about building for next year.
Besides implying that some players aren't buying into the culture, the sacrifice part seems to imply at least one of those players is a major contributor. I'm guessing Keith (though honestly Vogt is usually one of our less enthusiastic guys on the bench).
If improving for next year means sacrificing the rest of the season, so be it. But it's a delicate balance, improve the culture while not alienating players. Can't afford to lose more guys to transfer (especially not Eason).

Morman played his last two years at Towson and wasn't very good there. I'd say he was a dud overall.I remember Moorman being a lock down type defender but he wanted more. He left. It was a perfect fit for him in the Cronin system but he had other ideas. No big deal. But if you keep him 4 years he probably becomes a good rotational player.
3/4 if not all 4 are great depth going forward, we need upgrades over all 4 to be back making noise. That’s a 2nd unit at best even in this league. My eyes will be on DeJulius, MAW, Davenport, and Eason for our remaining games. Those 4 are the future of our program at the moment.
Cronin held him back not letting him play to his strength, gelawn would be all league on this team. He transferred and almost avg 20I agree. I actually liked most of the guys on that list, only one I didn’t like was gelawn. I never understood cronin s fascination with him. Guy sucked.
Fans are rational
Guyn was a star at East Tennessee his last year. He was the best player on a team that finished second in a decent SoCon. Shot 41% from three on over 200 attempts and really cut down on fouls and turnovers. He's the only guy on that list who amounted to anything after transferring. Jeremiah Davis was terrible at Ball St. Morman was below average at Towson. Moore has been below average at Morgan St this year. Logan Johnson had a bad sophomore year at St Marys but has been ok so far this year. Alvin Mitchell disappeared.I agree. Our best recruit for 21 going be Vogt! 100% sure ole coach bringing his precious son back for one more year. Get Jarell Redden on staff IMMEDIATELY for we can lock up State of Cincinnati. I don’t care if we land a McDonald’s all American our best recruit for 21 needs be a recruiting coach. I’m with Justin open the pocket books, pay for play will be legal in next 5yrs anyway.
I've been wondering this as well. If he can even provide backup minutes at the 5 next year I'd be thrilled. What’s the deal with the Russian guy? We ever going to see that guy play? Can you imagine if he’s actually good. That’d be a steal, in the one video on YouTube, he looks fairly mobile

If yesterdays game reinforced anything for me, it was that the MAW and Davenport types just aren't the level of player we need. From a physical/athletic standpoint they just didn't have a chance.
Tari clearly can play with the guys from Houston. Saunders actually surprised me and had his best game of the year. Houston struggled with his speed and that was nice to see.
Mason doesn't have the athleticism either, but you actually noticed him out there and he's good at being in the right spot and finding a way to be open for a shot. Compare that to MAW who somehow played 27 minutes and I don't even remember him being on the court.
Not sure I buy this... MAW and Davenport are fine. Great role players imo. Same with Mason. All three have great value on a high level team.
Problem is we don't have a star. Keith isn't it. He's been putrid all season of we are being brutally honest.
In regards to Tari. He has high level ability, but let's not act like he's been unreal. And frankly his attitude seems to be a problem. He's not good enough to have an attitude problem.
Not sure who john was talking about in his post game... But if players have attitude issues they need to go. There is not one player on this team that would be a devestating loss at this point.
