You couldn't be more wrong. Yikes.

I think the small sample so far of Mikey missing shots is too soon to judge. He made some pretty good progress on his shooting (both 3's and FT's) in HS. He's not as bad a shooter as his early HS would suggest or even early college.

I don't think he's gonna be a knock down shooter but he can fill the 2-3 per game attempts from three kind of role eventually. He should be a pace pusher and distributor mainly. I would guess he will eventually (not this year) be in the low 30's in % from 3 and hopefully above 75% or so from the stripe.

On a good team Eason would’ve been RS candidate for me so his mom needs shut hell up.I don’t know what Roy was selling her but professional basketball right now isn’t it. I mentioned his first couple games he needed bulk up and be more physical. Yes, he has all the athleticism in world, he still needs to develop a game for this level. I don’t care about the minutes he’s playing on this weak team, he’s not better than JJ, gates, or Clark as freshman.

Eason isn't as polished as Gary was as a freshman but their numbers across the board, outside of turnover rate and extremely similar

Gary - eFG% - 52.4, TS% - 54.3, OR% - 13.4, DR% - 18.9, AstR - 13.9, BLK% - 5.5, Stl % - 2.5

Tari - eFG% - 51.6, TS% - 53.0, OR% - 12.1, DR% - 21.7, AstR - 16.7, BLK% - 6.9, Stl% - 3.0

Yea I'll take MAW all day there.. and it's not even close.

I'm not sure he sticks around... but agreed if he does.

I doubt he sticks around. When the team sucks, people start jumping ship. I wouldn’t blame him. It what it is. That’s why it is important to at least have something to sell. Right now there isn’t much

Gary wasn’t really ask to do anything either, that matters.

Unless you got satterfield, stokes, demarr Johnson coming in to go along with Martin, Tate, Logan and Pete you going to struggle with young players. I’m telling y’all it’s not the young players that’s trash it’s the upperclassman that’s killing team. This would’ve been nice group of role players to put with Clark, caupain and Washington.

He did have to beat out another frosh in Quadri to get his minutes though...HAHA.

JK...I love the Q. Why Cronin recruited him was the biggest question. He didn't fit the system at all (defense).

We struck out on Rap but he at least fit the system (offense). Defense was a problem but I know why Brannen brought him in.

Clark with this group would’ve damn near been in running for POY as freshman. Same with Gates, he would’ve look like lottery pick in this league and with this roster. Eason got golden opportunity to succeed and just isn’t ready. No knock on kid at all by JR yr I see all conference player, I just hate the mom got sold fraudulent tickets. Her son isn’t a lottery pick as of now!

Why did you have to remind me?? OMG

Donald Little was also a frosh

They need stop looking for shit to buy. You either want come play for CINCINNATI brand or not. Winning is all I need to sell! That’s starts in tri state LOCK UP all the local talent you want. I’m tired of Fairfield and Princeton kids going elsewhere. Mick didn’t and now Brannen looks be doing same, not locking up city is biggest mistake they can make. It use be dream play for Cincinnati and huggins. If we didn’t land the best player in Cincinnati we landed the best in Cleveland. We don’t get the 7th best player in the city we supposed get the best player! If John isn’t close with Lil Paul he needs replaced immediately anyway.

Waterhead brother I couldn’t remember the big and was too lazy look up. Steve Logan one of best of all time lost his STARTING job to satterfield. I seriously doubt Cronin or John would’ve took ball out hands of logan at that time.

Oj Mayo and bill walker moved from WV to be around huggins before coming UC. Folks I don’t know if we paid and that’s why they didn’t let it happen but Mayo, walker, Beasley and white boy from SC was lock in and loaded. 100% guarantees they all was bearcats if huggins was still here.

It was all mental with him and Lawrence

It’s interesting that Mike Young is in his 2nd year at VTech and has a top 40 team that is 14-4 and in 3rd place in the ACC with a top 50 offense and defense.

He has just 1 Seniors on the entire team that plays and just just 1 single player left over from buzz’s program.

So Far (and so far is the key word, it could change) it seems UC has the made the worst hire of the major teams to make coaching changes two years ago.

Right now vtech, Bama, Arkansas, UCLA all look to have hit home runs

Yah my first year at UC was also Huggs first year. I don't think there is any way I am a die hard like I am today if that didn't happen. I am not old enough to have been there for the NC years. It's tough to look back at the talent that was rolling through the door under Huggins. I know the guy made a mistake (or two) but damn we could be over 30 years of Huggins right now.

I remember camping out overnight in the student ticket office hall. We scored 13 tickets against IU on ESPN and we wore white T-shirts reading "Huggins Heroes" hoping to get on cam. I went to every Midnight Madness and sat next to Digger Phelps one year. Early in the F4 year I won a BB at a game signed by the players and coaches and I played open gym 3-4 times a week with that same BB until the names wore off. I had no idea what was about to happen...LOL! Regrets!!

Along with Michigan & BYU.

St. John's and Washington State haven't played a whole lot better than UC so far this season but both are programs with 2nd-year coaches that are trending up and each only have one senior in their rotation (St. John's may lose their best player to the draft though).
