So I for one want to see cronin stay and badly I think he is by far the best person to run our program and I dont think the grass is greener on the other side but in saying that if he leaves just curious some of the names you guys would throw around. I think we could find a dam good coach and make things work but its also a very good possibility we take a few steps back from where we are now.

A lot of the guys I like dont have a lot of experience. I like Chris Beard from little rock. Kevin Keatts would be an interesting hire. Kelsey from winthrop is another one he played at xavier and even elder high school. You also got to take into consideration someone who wont leave at the first chance they get. There is one guy i think is interesting and thats Oaklands coach Greg Kampe who was born in ohio. There are a lot of names out there im just curious who you guys like. Keith dambrot from Akron but hes from akron he may have no interest in leaving. I do think we could get a fine good young coach and you have to think recruiting has to be a key piece. Im just curious on your guys opinions hopefully this thread will be pointless in a matter of hours.

Do the bearcats go young energetic or do they try to make a splash like they did with Tubbs and go with a name?

The other seemingly obvious hire would be Larry Davis. Im a big fan and appreciate what he was able to do last year and he may even be able to keep kids from transfering and keeping cumberland here but I just dont think hes the right guy to lead the program.

Bulldog is the obvious choice. Everyone on our roster would be able to dunk. The only issue is they'd probably all be stoners too.

Legends keys to success:

Shoot threes often.
Make threes often.
Push tempo to set up a three ball.
Dunk only when the three ball is not available.

Frank Martin and Bruce Pearl are my first calls...

Agreed, gotta think big........I doubt we'd lure either but both are in places where winning will be very difficult.

I'd also call guys like Hubert Davis and Jeff Caple......you never know with those "waiting in the wings" guys.

Archie Miller is on my list too. Hopefully Bohn is assembling a list of 20 or so candidates and prioritizing them accordingly.

I do get the feeling that Bohn is a total waste of space though so they'll probably hire a search and firm and drag it out.
