Hey Guys, I am new on here, but has anyone heard anything about this kid? ESPN said he is interested in us. I believe he decommitted from Dayton, and I know Mick said we probably werent going to use the scholarship, but does anyone know if this is a kid we want?

A lot of people have speculated that Berry was let out of his LOI from Dayton because of his second arrest, but I think it may be because he is going to be forced to go to prep school because of grades.

i've watched this kid a lot, and he's good. but I don't see how he fits here. his floor is Dion Dixon and his ceiling is a skinnier 'Ta/Brian Roberts. i'd rather let Cash and JP grow into the PG spot. if you're gonna take a chance on a character guy (which Mick hasn't for scholarships so far), go big and get GJ, Bud Mackey, or Terrance Boyd.

Don't necessarily want him but he does have one quality this team needs. He can hit shots from the perimeter. Just saying, it wouldn't surprise me if a look isn't taken. Plus, the speculation about grades is a Xavier poster who makes that statement after going thru some personal reasoning.

He's had 2 arrests, one of which was supposedly for breaking up a fight. Obviously, his home life wasn't great because he moved from his Mother's so he could concentrate on school. Give the young man some structure he may flourish. Then again, years of living in an evironment where there wasn't much structure may be hard to reign in. Calculated risk, but one I could see Mick pursue. As some of us have stated, this team needs more scoring. Berry could add that.

I wonder who the new player is visiting this monday, people keep saying that was DILIK but he was not a juco kid. Any ideas it seems that there are no real good options left and we should keep the scholarship!!!! On topic i think if this JB kid is really good like LS was then we take the risk if not then its not worth the risk.. Its almost impossible to have perfect kids and still compete, sometimes the best players are not necessary the best people thats something that coaches have to think about , heck they thought LS had character issues and he seemed to be the best listener on the team.

Who says someone is visiting this monday? Or do you mean this past monday? I believe there was an article posted about Dilick (sp?) visiting this past Monday but then UC opted not to offer him.

As for Berry, he is similar to Vaughn from what I gather. Streaky shooter, not the greatest defensively or in other areas of the game (dribbling, passing, etc). Not even close to the player LS is/was. Personally, this team has had enough lockerroom cancers, I don't think they need another one.

Maybe it was last monday but who would of been the juco SG that visited i thought that watkins was a PG and Dilik was in prep school. I guess it could of been Poland but i thought he visited over the weekend. I dont know im just hoping we get a good transfer or a diamond in the rough!! I seen it on BCL but maybe its just old, darn i was hoping there was someone out there that was coming to UC!!!! Sorry if i got anyones hopes up

Dilik was the SG that visited. He was not offered to my knowledge. I don't see anyone else in the 2010 class being offered at this point. Things can always change in recruiting, but at this point, we know what our team will look like in 2010.

I'd be surprised if anyone is added as well. Like JS said, anything can happen in recruiting, but I think Mick's gonna hold the scholly.

Posted today: (Kinda funny how a 52% 3 point shooter changes your moral perspective huh?)

An exceptional shooter, Berry led the state in 3-point percentage (52.1) while making nearly two 3s per game. He averaged 17 points for a team that went 23-2 and reached the 4A regional. Has offers from Butler and New Mexico's Steve Alford while IU, Kentucky and several others have been in the mix. Has said publicly Purdue is his favorite.

I know that article says May 3rd, but I think it is actually from a long time ago.
