Well I've seen him play over hundreds of games and not just 2 or 3 and everyone has there own opinion! That's why you are not the coach!

So I assume that these 100's of games are at the high school level or at least against high school competition?

Because following the statement of who redshirts, he said:

"The fact that you red shirt someone shows that you respect them enough to keep them on scholarship for an extra year"

Cash and Shaq's redshirt had nothing to do with respect, it had to do with injury. Pretty much same situation with JDIII. Gaines on the other hand was redshirted voluntarily and we see where that got everyone.

That was not the case for neither of them, some had injuries some had eligiblity issues!

Listen..We can all say we saw so and so play..you are trying to build up your credibility by dropping names of coaches youve sat next to, by AAU games and camps you attended..thats great.

But just by saying things isnt going to give you credibility. Even if you are right about KJ being the starting PG this year. But its kind of hard to believe a guy who has less than 20 posts on a website and with no face or name to go with the account

All you have to do is ask coach Davis himself, besided I do have a face and a name, I'm about to post it all, LOL! Enjoy the season! I really don't care who starts at the PG, everybody has to continue to work because there are a few of them that can play that position, may the best man win and by the way I knew what I know before the 20 posts! Just letting you know!:D:eek:

This is a message board, I wouldn't put my info on here, why would I, IT IS NOT THAT IMPORTANT, THIS IS ALL FUN AND FACTS.

You still dont get it..I want to believe everything you say and im sure others do to. I like when informed people come in here to talk about the team..but like I said..saying ask so and so isnt going to help people believe the things you have to say...we dont have the resources to do that..yet apparently you do..or say you do

But youre right..next time I run into coach davis, which has been a whopping zero times in my lifetime. Im going to ask him, Hey Do you know that basketball.com guy? he says hes close to a lot of people in the program and i just wanted to know if the information hes telling everyone has any truth to it.

im just confused, if you are as close to people as you say you are, then whats the big deal of letting us no where the information is actually coming from?

Inside!

Well guys I would like everyone to know I just came from the practice gym and I sat in the practice. You couldnt do that, Mick just said I could because its me..duh. It looked like everyone was playing great. To everyones surprise Sanders was by far the best player on the court. I was there, I saw it with my own eyes..He didnt miss a single shot. Dont believe me?, well its a fact so that doesnt matter. Mick then put him in with the starters and at SG and told SK he needs to step it up or he wont see the floor.

:cool:Trust me guys..Ive seen Sanders play more than any one..He actually told me he played bad last year on purpose because he didnt like Cash and didnt want to give him assists...He told me..dont believe me? well its a fact so it doesnt matter.

:cool:Dont question me either..because I know what im talking about behind this computer screen...trust me..I have ESPN Insider guys

How about you either choose to believe him or don't? Like everyone else that either has info on this board or pretends to, they aren't going to tell you where it came from.

AAU against all top Dogs, and in A top 100 Nike camp in Washington were he played point guard and I sat next to coach Davis!

My only argument is that High School or AAU is still not college ball. I am not doubting you that you have seen him play a lot just doubting that you or anyone else can be exactly sure of how he fits in going forward.

Okay, Im still cranky from the Reds dismal performances the last 2 weeks...sorry. I shouldnt be aloud on social media sites ha.

I Know youve said you have seen KJ play and thats what you keep going back to. I have never seen KJ play and would like a little more info on him other than I have seen him play and he is the best. Hes going to start just watch.

Its October..I cant watch. I dont care so much to where you get your info, but when you say you know alot about the team and KJ, I guess im just hoping to hear a little more than Ive seen just trust me I know my stuff. So in other words Im curious of the things he brings to the table. Why are you so confident that he is the answer at point? What things does he do really well? what things does he need work at?

Ive heard he is a great shooter and can knock a lot of open shots down, wouldnt that make him a better 2 guard? trying to get open and knocking down shots rather than having the ball in his hands creating for others?

Unless they all show they are going to be getting decent minutes I would be a fan of redshirting for sure.

I am not going to predict who that would be (because we haven't seen enough of them yet) but if we are basing it off of assumptions it would probably be either Mormon or Johnson. Not that either of them isn't talented ...much to the contrary.

Assumptions right now are that GG and TC are options 1 and 2 at the PG. That may not be correct but assuming it is there would probably be only about 5 available minutes there. Assuming SK plays up to 35 minutes there will only be about 5 available minutes at the 2 guard.

We know Davis and KJ are probably not going to play much 3 spot but they play could 3 guards if they are just too good to be left off the court. I assume it may be Lawrence, Thomas and Rubles who we will have on the court the most so there may only be 5-10 miutes left at those positions. JJ could also man a little of the 4 depending if we have serviceable 5's.

So we can't redshirt Davis or Thomas. Probably won't redshirt Sanders or Guyn. The two most likely would be Johnson or Mormon and maybe neither will happen and it's too early for me to predict who that might be. I would like to give them both the benefit of the doubt (not that I doubt either of them) and I think suggesting who it's going to be (if any) is a diservice to that player.

I don't think we'll redshirt any of these players:

Shaq Thomas, SK, JDIII, Guyn, Sanders, Lawrence, Jackson, Dave, Rubles as you all probably know and agree with. So that leaves:

Caupain, KJ, Morman or Strickland

I think the only way Strickland gets redshirted is if he is not cleared by the NCAA because we need his size. With the other 3 idk. I think Caupain would be the least likely based off statements from Mick and articles we've read about him. Mick even said he should have redshirted Parker a year because it was a wasted year being where he was on the depth chart.

Calling it out right now Bearcat Spaniard and basketball.com is the same guy that was ralph and bearcatmick last year.

Why would I want 2 profiles? The only reason I am on here is to keep up with my favorite team's recruiting, news and to talk with other fans. Like 95% of people on here I don't bring anything to the table besides my passion for UC bball and football. I don't listen to any claims from most people, but sometimes there is valuable information here from select members.

How about sticking with talking about why we all check this site and not about members?

if we do red shirt someone it's going to be ether Strickland or KJ. Both I think will have big contributions to our team next year, and I think KJ could be our starting SG next year, I wouldn't be surprised if moore started over Strickland next year at the 5.

What about Coreontae DeBerry coming in as a JUCO next year? Maybe Strickland redshirts because he is not cleared by the NCAA this year then is our no. 2 center next year and starts as a junior. Then Moore could get the minutes as a power forward instead

There was no practice today, only individual workouts!

You will see how they all fit in three weeks! I seen him in the same type of games as I seen Troy, Jermaine, Morman and Strickland. That's what got them all recurited. Don't understand your point. I seen them all in AAU and High School.

You cannot base too much off of high school or AAU numbers, I think is what he is saying. Different leagues, competition, etc. Schools take the best players on teams accross the country and the NCAA is made up of guys sitting on the bench that were studs in high school. The numbers do not usually translate to the college game. How many current players on our team now averaged around 30 points in high school? You cannot expect them all to come in as scoring threats right away and put up 20 a game.
