@SamSnellingRMN Mick to UNLV is happening huh. Right

Is this the UCBearcats on this site?

The fact that a head coach at U.C. Who is the 22nd highest paid would consider a job like unlv in a worse conference is mind boggling. For him to even consider it speaks volumes.

There has been no report saying Mick has considered it. Only that he is being considered. Your comment is premature at this point. Everyone said he considered NC State but that is not true.

I never said he did. I was speaking hypothetically that it would be mind boggling. For him to consider it would speak volumes. Sorry it didn't come across that way.

You guys are kidding w the mick vs. Mack talk right?

This year should've told you ALL you need to know that Mack is the better coach. You returned 5 starters 9/10 top contributors and placed 4th in a conference that went 1-4 in March. Mack is hands down the better coach. Call it luck with two of his sweet 16 if you want but you still need to win the games, which look at Huggins Friday night - ain't always easy. . He's a better in game coach and recruiter than Mick. I mean no one will even dispute the recruiting.

Hate on X all you want but Mack proved this year how much better he is at running a program from top to bottom.

Believe me Xavier fans LOVE mick. Hope he never gets on the plane and the next 10 years are the same as the last 10.

UC could and should do better.

Some inflammatory remarks but UC really could be a good bball program again.

I don't think he will take it.

I'd give my left nut to look at a bracket in March and write UC into the Final Four with a straight face. I don't see that happening under Mick's regime so I'm hopeful he's leaving.

Because it has happened so often in the last 50+ years......1 time when it broke right when all the better teams in our bracket lost. Everybody wants Final 4's here but it's not that realistic given UC's history the past 1/2 century+.

Can some of you give it a rest? L-T and UCBearcats have an agenda and have been outspoken at the very beginning on how they despise Mick. It really doesn't matter, they don't nor will they ever like him.

On the other end of the spectrum are a few who will support him and make excuses for him no matter what.

Then there are people, like me, supportive of Cronin, like him and want him to stay, but yet still expect much more and better things from him. I'd venture that most fall in this group. I've always said I hope Mick retires here. But that's based on the assumption that he performs during his time. I don't expect national championships every year. But ever so often they should be capable of a deep run and so far we haven't had a team that really had that ability in them. This team had the horses but obviously never put it together. He needs to do it soon.

Lol...give me a break. This guy would be doing cartwheels down Clifton Avenue if Mick were gone. He likes to play like he's riding the fence, but we've seen enough of his posts to know exactly where he stands. But, we'll pretend like we believe he likes Mick.

Mick isn't going anywhere. I'm sure this is one of those times where his agent floated his name out there to get some pub. Maybe use it as leverage, though I don't think it will work in this case. It's UNLV for christ sake. It's also obvious from his post game comments that he pays attention to what the fan base says so maybe he is feeling the heat (even though he isn't on the hot seat) from the fans and is trying to turn it. Mick may have some interest from very low level P5 schools or some mid-majors but that's about it.

Either way, would there be a worse fit in college basketball than the UNLV "Runnin Rebels" and Mick? They may have to change their nickname.
Hilarious. The rock fight rebels? I kid. I kid.
