Mick a Candidate for UNLV?

I guess you can't read. I said they get better in 3-4 years. Troy was in year 3. I acknowledged Clark. Evidently Mick didn't think DeBerry got any better. He didn't play him any more. Your agenda is getting old as well.

Yeah that is true....and is the same with every other college BB player that isn't a first round pick. Every school has delusional fan bases that think their school is special and should be competing for final fours every year.

By the way, I don't live in Cincy and hear the same complaints from just about every other schools college sports fans....it is lame.

Bottom line guys is we're sitting here debating if our coach is seriously going to consider leaving for UNLV and Xavier is competing right now for yet another Sweet 16.

Something needs to change......I believe a new coach would be the fastest way to that change. I honestly don't see how any of it changes if Mick stays.

Mick stays. Don't see him leaving Cincy. UNLV would have to pay Mick A LOT more than his current $2.2 million, which is already 22nd highest in the sport.

Lets hope Mick is using recognition to get some things he wants for the program. He certainly makes good money (IMO, does not need more), lets hope he uses this to grab some assistants with fresh training thought. Coach is fine, lets surround him with a greater cast (better asst. coaching and recruiters) and get the facilities upgraded for a first class experience that the players enjoy! Why not go get a few one and dones.....it helped during Huggs era and would make UC an exciting place to play. Many said conference champ isn't important....but it is! Finish season strong on the way to the NCAA. Build a resume that makes UC even more attractive to Big12!

Okay I will entertain you guys... so if Mick were to leave or be fired who are we replacing him with? Don't worry I will wait.

If Mick leaves, does anyone think we can get Archie Miller?

Yes, I do. If we offered him 2.2 million I think he'd have a very tough time turning that down. It would be a comfortable move for him and he wouldn't have to adjust his overall recruiting pipelines too much. Plus I'd love the added fire having Sean's brother would bring to the Shootout.

I know, supporting your team is a terrible agenda to have. Shame on me. You've made it clear that you have unrealistic expectations. Players and teams growing and improving into senior led teams is what college basketball is supposed to be about. You want a FAB FIVE every year? get over it

If you're arguing that Mick's players are getting better, then you must be acknowledging that Mick's coaching is getting worse. How can players improve and the results stay the same or get worse, and we never win championships...even in a weak league?

I already cast my vote for Archie Miller, but I'll settle for Kerry Coombs.

Blatant trolling, as per usual. People want Mick gone only to complain about him. Your second best alternative is a DB coach. Smart. Funny. How about you contribute to the discussion instead of trying to incite an argument? Or is that against your trolling regulations?

Kurtis Townsend. And he wouldn't cost $2.2M.

Big problem with Townsend is he's 68 years old. I'd prefer a guy with head coaching experience but an up and coming assistant with recruiting prowess would be good too. The fan base would just have to allow someone like that time to learn on the job.

Who cares who holds season tickets? Is this a site for season ticket holders and those who rub elbows with Bohn and Ono are McMicken social events?

I was when I lived in Ohio (not even in Cincinnati). That said, kinda hard when you live over 6 hours away.

And you still show more support than Mr. Booster. Hell, i live in the shadow of the home arena for one of the best programs in the country and I have to defend my support to a local season ticket holder in cincy. It's actually pretty pathetic
