Yea, which is good, but that is winning one more game than Mick did and UCBearcats thinks Mick sucks. I don't see how Archie is that much better. If UC was able to pull out the win against OSU would he think Mick's a great coach?

You asking me or westside? Archie is doing it at UD. I believe UC is a big upgrade over UD. The fact that his results are already better and the boost I think a brand like UC would give him is what I base my opinion on.

Idk, you have to ask him.:)

I think archie would be a good hire.

Meanwhile, over at Xavier, after their coach gets coach of the year acknowledgement, all quiet on their front. Must be nice to have stability and competent leadership. Unbelievable.

This s-h-i-t is crazy. God only knows who these jackasses will hire if he leaves. If you don't remember 2006-07, hold onto your hats cuz we could take a nice trip down memory lane soon.

Sure would and no matter how big of a fan of the program he is or has been all his life those big boys start calling and it's a game changer. Combine that with a coaching search and uncertainty if assistants who helped recruit you will even be around is a recipe for disaster.

I don't have a whole lot of faith in Cumberland staying committed here if Mick were to leave.

I don't think we'd ever see him reach his full potential in Mick's system anyways so I'll take my chances that he stays. If he goes he goes, I have serious doubts about his shooting ability.

They can restrict him all they want but it's a really bad look for a program if they restrict him too much should it come to that. And SK seemed to reach his full potential so not sure why Cumberland would be different. Can't point out guys who didn't work out in Micks system and then don't mention those who did

I like Cumberland a lot but he's somewhat slow and his shot is raw. He's the type of player Mick has generally struggled to develop. He certainly could become an SK but I think SK had better shooting skills and had the advantage of a redshirt and being quite a bit older than his peers.

Cumberland will need a PG beside him to thrive IMO and I don't see that PG in our pipeline.

He's also signed, so UC could restrict where he goes. IMO it would all depend on the next hire. I think Cumberland is a Bearcat fan and wanted to stay local.
Longhaul there is article on Cincy.com that will list the names of the schools that were interested in Mick. Nebraska,Virginia tech, North Caralina State to name three.

If mick leaves, so long I say and u bring in the no brainer. Kenyon Martin! Players will stay! Better players will come in the future. And there will be a national championship in 5 years. Mick might be feeling the heat in cincy but let's be honest he's a ginger and gingers don't do well in the desert.

If uc was to look at former players i think they would go with van exil. Not that uc should or go this route.
