If this is true, then he's going to be at UC for life bc no school will entertain the idea of negotiating with him. UNLV has been in limbo for 2 months and now Cronin is just stringing them along? Hard to fathom.
they just handed him a contract yesterday. jake please never offer to negotiate for anyone. Stick to IT.

Then whats the god damn hold up? I hear Mick already raised the funds for the locker room.

I don't believe this has anything to do with Money And everything to do with getting his 6 straight NCAA tourney program to have the same facilties as Xavier or frickin NKU even. What coach wants to come to Cincinnati when you run your Home town coach out of town because he can't just get his facilities up to par with even the local teams
replacing mick would not be a problem. getting the job done on his level would be the issue. Money is good people will apply.

Getting the job done on Mick's level would be very difficult. With our facilities and tradition, and a new arena on the way, it would be hard to play for ten years and not win a championship of any kind, or put players in the NBA, or drive fans away. That would be very hard to do.

If this all means Mick is staying I'm happy. Looking very much forward to Clark, TC, Washington and Cumberland. We all can share another wonderful year of celebrating the wins and over reacting to every loss. Now who could ask for more. And Bearcattalk is free.

I know. Cronin has raised the bar so high.

Hey now, our NBA Bearcats are actually tearing it up. To the point where they are both owned in my fantasy league. Only 130 players owned total too...not bad.

Not to mention in the 10th glorius year of this fabulous rebuilding process, our seed is lower, we finish in 5th place in a crappy league, we're bounced in the first round of the league tourney, and bounced in the first round of the NCAA. I didn't think things could get much lower that letting an Ivy league school bounce us out in the first round....but he's managed to drop the bar even lower, and then try a power play right after it all. Brilliant move to divert everyones attention away from his miserable season.
