Mick a Candidate for UNLV?

I didn't separate him. I gave credit to Mick up until two years ago when he couldn't make the NBA. Now, he has worked more, gotten new coaching, chatted with Mick on the phone plus many others and he makes it. Ok, I'll agree, Mick has a wonderful phone personality.

Pick your battles! This isn't one of them!

I could have sworn just yesterday you were up in arms about the language filter and now you have become the grammar Nazi? LOL...that's rich!!!

the language filter is ******* stupid.

routinely ******* up common grammar is also stupid.

i hate stupid.

pretty straightforward.

Difference of opinion.

Haha, Man you're a tough one to crack. This may be the biggest stretch yet in going out of your way to not give Cronin any credit but have at it I guess. I know you hate the bleeding eyes offense (like we all do), but like I said before, 73 PPG this year is the highest since 05-06. Maybe, just maybe, things are looking up no?

I guarantee you Cronin still talks to him on a very regular basis. And he didn't get drafted bc of his age...clearly a mistake by the NBA. Not an indictment on his skill set. The NBA Draft is all about assets. And how much guidance do you really think he was getting anyway? He was with at least 3-4 different teams in the year+ before he made it. Who do you think was there when he bounced from Summer League, to D-League, to 10-Day Contract? C'mon man. SK is a Cronin product all the way. He recruited him, he got him to an AA level. If you want more NBA players, you could complain about that. But to pretend Cronin has nothing to do with SK's success is just silly.

The other reason he didn't get drafted was his knee surgery. Teams didn't want to use a draft pick on a guy coming off surgery that they weren't sure was good enough. Obviously he is good enough to play in the league. He had to prove it though.

I think it's safe to say mick is type guy who would want to tell his players to their face if he's leaving the more I think about it the more him coming home before a deal is a given

Yea his knee didn't help but it was a mixture of things some people were scared off by things like his vertical and speed he's not most athletic guard ever

Oh man i miss the ralph.

Wow mick is the man, doesn't care if everyone hates him as long as the administration puts together an acceptable basketball facility for the program talk about taking one for the team.

I don't understand the stance that just because Mick may or may not be flying back home means he won't be taking the job. I would expect him to maybe take some time to think about it, especially if UNLV has not provided him with a deadline. Maybe he wants to give UC a chance to counter?

Until Mick says one way or the other none of this speculation matters. The facts so far are that Mick has traveled to UNLV to meet with them and they have made him an offer to coach their program. Mick is still deciding what to do with that offer.

Those are the facts, nothing more nothing less. I won't believe anything else until I hear it directly from Mick's mouth or it's reported by a credible source that something factual has taken place.

We've been having the same discussion for 25 years.

Why isn't Huggins pressing anymore?
Why are Huggins offenses so stagnant?
Why can't he get a PG in the mold of Van Exel?
Huggins developed Kenyon. No, Kenyon developed himself. No, it was an assistant.
Why can't Huggins get top flight recruits anymore? Oh look, here's Satt and DerMarr. No, Huggins didn't recruit those guys. Cronin did.

And so on. And so forth.
