Mick a Candidate for UNLV?

Has anyone considered the potential impact in ticket sales that this thread might have? There could be a severe reduction in sales if all of us get busted and fired for spending too much time on the internet while on the job. If I lose my job because of Cronin, I'll never cut the guy a break even if he wins a national title!

you can move in with UCBearcats. I'd take you but I'm moving to Vegas. Lol

Couple things:
IMO L-T is essentially right on the facilities. Even if we played at Cincy Gardens, players come to a school generally because of a relationship with the coaching staff and/or a desire to get better. Cumberland has often talked about the great relationship he has with Mick. Not once has he mentioned our gym as a positive or a negative. But the other amenities are pretty darn nice.

Nor do I think any former players will bail if Mick does. I do give him credit for bringing some of these guys back into the fold, though. When Huggs left, Kenyon went on record saying the UC program was dead to him. He's back. Hicks and Logan are constantly on twitter talking about the program. Obviously, these guys are Cincinnati guys or they'd be sitting in on practices in Morgantown.

None of this concerns our facilities. It seems to center around the commitment to the program overall and the ancillary stuff Mick feels like he needs to compete. Everything is relative. When the little Jesuit school down the street throws unlimited resources at their basketball program while you're fighting for the basics, I'm sure it doesn't sit well.

Hopefully as this concludes we'll get some clarification on what the hell all of it was about.

You wouldn't cut him a break anyway. You would just say that he should have won it earlier or more frequently. :D

Definitely.

Yeah, no doubt. Some were already planning to move to Vegas and wishing all our players would leave. The good news is they are now all Bearcat fans again, and they even know what the Lindner Center and Varsity Village are now, so positives have come out of all this.

I mentioned the trio leaving so i wouldn't have to listen to you anoint our new coach if he had success. I wanted a gutted roster like Mick came into. I let my emotions and my disdain for your constant nonsense get the best of me. Im ashamed, lol. I'd rather listen to you gloat then have a shitty year. But Mick needs to shit or get off the pot, I'm tired of this.

Just heard the UNLV AD came flying up to Cronin in midair and ziplined over to his jet for one more talk. It went "very well".

oh, you got on her press/everyone else in the world distribution list for coaching search updates too?

she's assured me that they feel very good about their chances.

So let me get this straight because I'm a little confused with multiple inputs

The #1 reason for recruits coming to a school is...

1. Relationship with coach
1. Best chance to make NBA
1. Pretty amenities
1. P5 conference
1. Championships (best chance)
1. Playing time
1. Style of play
1. Close to home
1. Getting paid under the table

At least there is only 1...lol

Lmao. This is slowly becoming a matter of which AD is going to get canned for screwing this thing up the worst.

Now is as good a time as any for your friendly reminder, go to User CP, options, and increase the posts per page!

For all those of you who keep talking about facilities, what exactly does that mean?? There's really only (2) facilities issues I could see having any impact on recruiting.

- If the locker room is not up to snuff that is something that needs to be resolved. A recruit will see a locker room during a visit and I could see that having some effect on their lasting impression.
- If the arena had a new lighting system, sound system, scoreboard and a better ability to put on a pre-game presentation I could see that having a big impact on recruiting. All of those things will be included with a renovated 5/3rd.

Facilities people, please tell me what I'm missing from my list.
