Just saw on twitter that Mick and the UNLV AD have the same agent. Have to raise question marks that after Cronin Lavin is their next choice

I have to question a UC fan that admits going to "a ton" of Xavier games. Outside of the UC game, you know how many I've been to in my life>>>>ZERO! I wouldn't go if the tickets were free.

Right with you on this one.

I really dont give a **** what you think about my fandom. Im a rabid UC fan. And i notice you didnt have anything to say about the actual point I raised.

Right with you on this one.
been to one with my daughter a Dayton grad and the flyers lost. I grew up in Norwood and nothing makes me madder then to hear people say X is in Norwood. They have some buildings on Dana avenue but X is in Avondale.

Mick Cronin in January: "I'll be here next year no matter how many we win or lose." #Bearcats https://t.co/uMYCZsTJEJ
He hasn't left yet and if he does and his reasoning is because he has been misled about the improvements then I can understand it. He hasn not only coached this team but has been a huge part of the fund raising. He has put his heart and soul into this job under very difficult circumstances. Let's wait to see what comes out of all this before we pass judgement.

I would be completely stunned if Mick signs a deal with UNLV without meeting with UC to resolve their issues.

But do you know the names and phone numbers of every building on campus?

Hey boy, no one's asking you to know about the Engineering building or the Teachers college but if you follow UC athletics and don't know about the Linder Athletic center I wonder why are you even a UC fan??

You grew up in Norwood Waite? I lived in Norwood through junior high. My Dad worked at GM, I went Allison and Williams Ave. Elementaries. And to my way of thinking, anything across the railroad tracks next to Stones Lanes was definitely NOT in Norwood ;)

As someone who has played in Xavier's gym, attended high school games there and has been there for graduations all while having attended over a hundred games at 5/3, I rather have Cintas than 5/3 right now. I don't think anyone can really say, objectively speaking, 5/3 is nicer than Cintas. Cintas is newer, it makes sense. Why do you think local area high schools hold their commencements at Cintas and not 5/3? Because 5/3 is old and less pleasing on the eye.

I'll get bashed for "not being a real UC fan" but if you think 5/3 is still a nice arena, and competes with Cintas or the Yum! center, I would respectfully say you are wrong. It's outdated and needs a complete overhaul. The sound system is awful, the roll back bleachers are a joke now, lighting is bad, SO much wasted space, etc etc.

Yeah, Varsity Village and the Lindner Center are really dam nice, no one can deny that. But with such an outdated arena and a sub par gameday experience, going to the UC games has been routinely lately. Does the coach have a part in that with the system of play? Absolutely. But, a new arena would energize the fan base. Would boosters still be so willing to give big $$$ IF Cronin leaves and a new, unproven coach comes in? Who knows, my opinion is no.

Go ahead and say I'm not a "real UC" fan for saying the above. That's my opinion and I feel many would agree with the basics that 5/3 is old and needs revamped.

How does that make not a real UC fan? At least you've heard of the Linder Center...
