We have 4,400 minutes of playing time available before we have any loser goes home games. I just want us to use that time the best way possible to have us ready to advance against good teams. Whatever gives us the highest ceiling, that's what we should be building towards.

better leave for the game at noon!
I just leave from Blue Ash at 5 or 5:30 and generally make it 30 minutes or more before the game.

History says your correct: We will make the tournament.
But history also shows that since moving to the AAC, we've always had at least 1 top 100 win by 9th game of the year. And in 3 out 4 years, we've had 2.
Currently we have zero.
And what I'm saying is; nothing about the way we've played thus far inspires confidence that we can win on the road or beat other good teams in a close game.
We beat the crap out of Wyoming who has since dropped 25+ spots since we last played them. They aren't good. We got really challenged by a Buffalo team who is moving up the Kenpom rankings but they aren't good either. We got embarassed by Xavier and got beat by a florida team who is trying to figure itself out.
I haven't seen us look good all year except against Wyoming and even then we made mistakes that high major teams will capitalize on.
So couple our resume + Our play on the court + the better competition in the AAC and it equals things we should be worried about. I've already lowered my expectations on this team.
These next 2 games will really affect how I feel about this team. Im glad your so confident. But I reverted to "Show me" with this team. So far we are a huge disappointment and its made worse by the schedule we've played. If we don't win both of the next 2 games, then we better go near perfect in a much tough AAC.

Broome with a 15.5 ppg, 2.5 boards, 2.5 assists, 2 TO 1.5 stl line on 60% shooting in 2 games vs top opponents.
dont think we need to worry about his ability vs good teams anymore. his speed and quickness are the real deal. only worrisome part for me is the FT shooting (but he was 76% in his career coming into this year in over 400 attempts).
i get excited thinking about where it can go. i think he's got the kind of talent that he's going to force mick to roll with him. some things are just undeniable.

Time to roll right now! He's a difference maker. He has played better vs top opponents than vs poor opponents. Not worried about FTs.

Broome was the starter at the beginning and Cronin had said we'd have a bunch of different lineups this year...so Jenifer got the starts bc he was playing well. Now Broome is playing well and Jenifer isn't as much. Seems like if we're doing a hot hand type of thing, we should switch back. I just hope this doesn't become one of those things Cronin gets stubborn about.

honestly cronin has treated it like it was broome vs caupain. jenifer hadn't earned the right. he hadn't proven anything.
unfortunately for us jenifer is what he has been in the past. fine against really bad teams, nowhere near good enough against solid teams. a 10-15 minute player at best. and that has nothing to do with broome.

Yea entire league is top 100.
Both UC and miss state need this game.
Miss state is loaded with talent. Just haven’t played an actually good team to see if it’s real or not.
Interesting matchup tomorrow as the #3 2pt defense vs the #4 2pt offense.
On paper they are almost a no threat from 3 at a terrible 29%

We should keep in mind that no team in the country has been amazing to this point. 3 of the top 5 teams lost a total of 5 games last week. We're not the only team trying to figure things out right now.

Take that Kenpom SEC stuff with a grain of salt this early....just off the top of my head I can think of at least 4 of those teams who have been whupped by AAC (Auburn, SC by Temple...Ark by Houston...Alabama by UCFYour looking at this in a bubble. But we have to compare our wins to other teams in power leagues. Every single team in the SEC is in the top 100. Miss state has 1 top 100 win and yet they will get a chance at 18 top 100 and top 50 games in conference alone.

Sure it’s early but the league is much improved. I’ve watched more basketball games then I care to admit and a lot of sec teams. They are leaps and bounds better than last year. Could get 5-7 teams in easy

If you like free money, take Miss St and the +11. Vegas obviously hasnt seen Cronin coach or this team play this year. Cats win by 5-7.
Hysterical that we are only in Dec and our fate is already secured as a 5 seed or worse. Miss St aint that good and UCLA losing to Mich hurts us even more. Then, our only top 100 win opportunities come against Temple, SMU, and Wich St for the remainder of the year. No way we sweep those teams. What a time to be alive. 8 straight tourney trips after yet another overhyped regular season by a Cronin coached team.

They start a 6'10 PF and a 6'11 Center.
And then 3 guards, none over 6'4
Tyson Carter leads them in scoring but they have 5 guys who average double figures. Carter is their major threat from 3.
They also go deep on the bench, but Im assuming that rotation tightens up in a game like tomorrow.

Hitting outside shots isnt something we pride ourselves on. And having Kyle SOFTington as our starting big man, means we get destroyed down low. Gonn have to drive, draw fouls, and get to the foul li......oh wait, we also have Justin Jenifer as our point guard.
