I have boldened the UC recruits:
The National Hoops Classic, which is run by Jim Derrow, featured good talent from around Ohio and the surrounding states. Here is a look at some of top prospects in attendance.
SF DeJuan Marrero (Gary, Ind./ Bowman Academy)He is an athletic slasher that dominated in the paint. He plays larger than his 6-foot-5 size.
SFJalen Ragland and C Malik London (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe)Ragland is a perimeter shooter who has signed with UTEP and London is a shot blocker that is raw offensively, but impacts the game on the defensive end. C Sim Bhullar, SG Jeremiah Davis and PF Stefan Jankovic (Huntington Prep)Coach Rob Fulford does a good job with this group. Bhullar is a huge human being at 7-4, 280 pounds and he can just about touch the rim standing straight up. He is a good shotblocker and can score when he catches the ball in the paint. Davis, a Cincinnati signee, is a solid combo guard that can score and defend, while Jankovic is a skilled combo forward that is best as a high post 4-man.
PG Zacc Carter (Ironton, Ohio/Ironton)
He is a tremendous scoring point guard, who went scoreless in the first half of his game Saturday and still finished with 21!
SF Jake Heagen (New Concord, Ohio/ John Glenn)
He is a super versatile wing that can do a little of everything on the floor. He should be a solid contributor at his college choice.
PF Casey Carroll (Youngstown, Ohio/ Kiski Prep)
He is much improved from his high school days and is now a solid mid-major Division I prospect. He is a solid athlete and can score to 17 feet and will be a good get for someone late.
