I think they just ran out of gas. 6 games in 10 days with a 7 man rotation...they shot well for 3/4's of the game but went something like 7 minutes without a field goal at the end.
your probably right on target Matt. They had a nice run but wore out. Miller has done a good job there. Wonder how long he'll stay. I would guess with last year and this year he will be a hot name.

WVU is always my second team. Hopefully Huggy can win this game and take out Kentucky in the Sweet 16.

I'd love to see this happen. Unfortunately, Kentucky has excellent guards and I'm not sure WVU's style is good for taking out UK. Kentucky is scary in transition and WVU lacks the size to match them inside, plus the high-risk reward press WVU runs can work against them at times with easy buckets. And easy buckets for Kentucky usually means a blow out.

That said, no one expected them to beat Kentucky a few years ago...so I'm hopeful something will come of it.

It isn't a great matchup, I agree. Arizona is probably the best matchup, they are basically a more talented version of us.

Read a stat that of the 80 Sweet 16 starters, 42 were top 100 recruits. Our recruiting needs to improve or even in great season will be nothing more than Pittsburgh or Villanova.

Top 100 by which site? ESPN? It seems they never give love to any of the UC recruits. But on Rivals, UC recruits tend to rank much higher. Example, Jacob Evans is top 100 on Rivals, not ESPN. Justin Jenifer is just outside of top 100 on Rivals, not ESPN. On Rivals, most recruits on the current team were either in the top 100 or just outside of it.

Would You Rather.....

Lose in the round of 32 the way UC did

Or

Make it to the Sweet 16 and lose the way West Virginia is?
