Would You Rather.....

Lose in the round of 32 the way UC did

Or

Make it to the Sweet 16 and lose the way West Virginia is?

WVU is getting completely embarrassed. Although another Sweet 16 appearance would be a feather. I'd say toss up.

That's a tough one. Logic says the Sweet 16 will be remembered nationally more than the ass whooping. If this was a dominant Duke or Kansas team, I think I'd go with the Sweet 16. However, since UK is a local team with an insufferable fan base... I'll take our respectable round of 32 loss.

Plus, there's the psychological factor. We return everyone but Sanders... you've got hanging tough with UK and having the mentality they can beat anyone vs. getting embarrassed and hearing about it non-stop in the local media. I have to believe the way we played UK is very encouraging for the future, and a blowout loss could have been very damaging to the team's confidence.

This is the first time I've watched Arizona all year. Man they are weak inside. Overrated. And Reynolds is a piece of shit.

Tarczewski aint bad but they wont let him play ANY defense on stainbrook. Stainbrook is hooking everytime he back him down and never gets called. I hate unfair officiating.

Is anybody with ESPN insider reading the "recruit & return" articles after each team loses in the tourney. They describe who's leaving the team, recruits being added, and then say if the team is trending up, down, or level. UC was labeled as level level despite the entire starting lineup, key reserves, and a good recruiting class coming. x was listed as trending up even with with their starting center and pg leaving - just seemed a little off. These articles are written by different contributors which can account for lack of consistency but it seems zero logic is applied.

The inconsistency doesn't really surprise me. ESPN has never really been the leader in recruiting and they don't seem to take it as seriously, so I would take their recruiting rankings and expertise with a grain of salt. However, it does seem like we never get any love and nobody really bothers to take a closer look at the team.

I guess now we'll hear all about Xavier's valiant effort and how they made the "Elite 9" lol.
