I didnt sleep and this is what kept me up. Ive asked the same question now for almost 12 hours...how? Seriously, how?
by refusing to take advantage of their foul trouble. WE stopped driving the ball to the hoop and started shooting jump shots. They got 4 fouls called on them in the first 5 minutes of the half. 3 on one inbounds play. We completely played the game in the second half going against what we should have been doing. Taking advantage of our numbers and advantage inside. We did exactly what they wanted us to do. Shoot jumpers. We went cold and they got hot. Game over!!!!

If this was the first time, second time, but the twentieth time, something else is against Cincinnati sports in general. Think what you want, I have seen it to many times. Not just taking about one have with men's basketball, in taking the whole history of Cincinnati sports in general. You give me a ******* better reason. Don't give it for just this ******* game either.

I'm actually not disagreeing with you. Uc basketball is the only Cincinnati sport I follow but the amount of crazy plays, buzzer beaters, etc. just doesn't seem to happen to other teams with the frequency it does to UC basketball. It makes be vomit and laugh at the same time. We are all gluttons for punishment.

Yeah, those who never change their mind never change anything. Mick has done plenty of great things for the program, but he needs to start adapting. If he continues to be stubborn, then I hope we look for a new coach in a couple of years. It’s time for Bohn/leadership to sit down with him and issue the ultimatum. It’s not time to fire him, it’s time to put his feet close to the fire. He needs to be pushed by someone just as he pushes his players.
What specifically are you referring to? Asking him to adopt his philosophy on offense?

They definitely wanted a certain offensive philosophy in the football coach. So they did spell that out when interviewing. Maybe they do that with current coaches too I don't know.

This still feels like a nightmare. Sitting at work after being off for the past 4 days. All I want to is go home sick. I can't get over this one. I feel too bad for the players and coaching staff.

Try being around 6th graders. Im very confrontational right now and this could land me on the news.

Officially checks in as the 2nd biggest blown lead in tournament history. Not sure what the first one was, but hard to imagine it fell apart in just barely over 10 minutes.

This is bad. It's never going to go away.

**** feeling bad for the players and coaching staff! I feel bad for us fans! I've sunk 30 years of heart and soul into this program and continuously have to suffer through abortions like last night. I seriously can't take this much disappointment.

Fine to say that about the coaching staff....i guess? But mind numbingly stupid to say that about the players.

Were not giving up on the team, just Cincinnati sports periods. Though it guys were in great position, they were, then they got tight, Cumberland reliant to much. He did everything this tournament, cane was decent in spurts, other than that he can't lead a team. Evans go over seas, cane can switch to the two and get a ******* point guard in here that can do something other than being ball up the court. Need to get with the times, need five guys that can handle the ball and drive. Evans can't and won't do that. Get him out and get the 5000 ranked player in here. Need to get with the times and get some offensive players. But then again we need players with God on there sides

Evans can't and won't drive... so you didn't watch the game? You sound like such a terrible person. Hating on kids. It's honestly pathetic

Jenifer, Broome each took 3-4 shots more than they should have last night. There's a reason they left you open...

Sounds like someone who just bought a house in Nashville and is having second thoughts. I thought you left because you disappeared after UC got the big lead and said "the game is over... bring on Loyola". It's honestly pathetic.

UC is known for a feeble offense that may get hot but isn't sustained for 40 minutes. That 22 point lead was supposed to be a retirement nest egg but they blew it all by making poor choices (bad shots, poor defense) in their early 40s (10 minutes left in the game). Until the team either radically improves on offense or learns its own weaknesses, this is bound to happen again.

This is just going to add fuel to the fire. We were already known as an early exit team...now we add this epic meltdown. 1 step forward...2 steps back...smh.

My expectations for the near future have taken a serious hit. I was on cloud 9 with 10 minutes to go and now I am back to cloud 4 or 5.

Our coach (who is a good coach) NEEDS to evolve!! He had done a little bit of that recently with recruiting but he still has a long way to go. He needs to man up and own the Cumberland decision...he needs to call himself out. If he can't take a good chunk of the blame...he's too stubborn to get better IMO.
