Heres my takeaway from Game 5. Kill the whole sleeve thing. They look ugly, they arent basketball jerseys, and the players obviously hate them. Lebron ripped his off before halftime. Cant be a good look for Adidas seeing that done to the uniform, during a game, by someone being paid to wear it

I hate the sleeves too.

LeBron picked a good time to start making shots outside of 5 feet again. I have no idea what to pick in Game 7. The Warriors seem to be broken.

Great Game!!! Triple double for LeBron and Kyrie with another outstanding performance.

Draymond Green getting himself suspended looks like the turning point. They could've wrapped it up in 5, and they just weren't the same team after. They looked worn down. I don't know how LeBron does it every year (maybe I don't want to know).

LeBron was flat out amazing. That block is what won the game for the Cavs. I really believe they would have lost if they went down 2 there. LeBron is on the Mount Rushmore of basketball.

Yeah he probably already was, but now he really can never be criticized ever again.

Who would your Mount Rushmore be?

I'd say Jordan, Magic, Shaq, and LeBron. I can't say the old guys like Russell or Kareem or any of them bc I never saw them play. I never really saw Magic while he was active but I've seen enough highlights, and did a report on him back when I was a kid. I was obsessed with his game...9 Finals appearances in a 12 year career is nuts.

Being a bit older then you guys I have seen many a great player in my day. Seen the NBA versus ABA. Worked for the Cincinnati sports service as a youngster. Set up the floor for Basketball and cleaned up after many a game. Had the good fortune to see Oscar in his prime. The big O could have scored 50 a game if he wanted. At 6'5 and over 200 lbs was just a freak in his early years. Wilt was another that could score at will. Kareem and the sky hook was the most devastating shot in the game. Magic became Oscar with a bit less scoring ability. Both had a understanding of the game unequaled by any I have watched in my lifetime. Elgin Baylor good score at will. West and Goodrich for knockdown shooters. Dr. J for his creativity. Kobe and his athletism. Bird and Berry for their ability to be all around players who made everyone else better. So many great players.

My top 5. Wilt, Oscar, Kareem, Magic and Jordan.
Next 5 Kobe, Shaq, Bird, Lebron and Baylor

I didn't list by position just went with who I felt were the most talented players I have ever seen.

Also while people in the media have been trying to compare Lebron's game and Seth Curry. Lebrons all around game is light years ahead of Curry. Curry is not a one dimensional player by any means but to compare his over all game to Lebron is crazy.

Mt. Rushmore is so hard because there are so many great players. Here's my best shot off the top of my head.

Jordan
LeBron
Wilt
Oscar

I couldn't decide between Wilt and Russell and Oscar and Magic. I went Wilt because of 100 points in a game and Oscar because of averaging a triple double for a season. Neither have been matched before or since.

Jason, Oscar could have scored 50 a night if he wanted. Just wasn't how he played the game. Oscar's overall game was as good as anyone who ever played. Lebron and Magic's games are as close to Oscar as I can remember. All those who have played with them understand how much individual numbers they sacrificed to play team basketball. All three could do everything and anything on the court. The best offensive player I have ever seen was Jordan. A complete mismatch for people trying to guard him. Kobe is close to Jordan.

Kareem's sky hook was the most devastating shot in the game. A close second was the little fall away Oscar used. He was so big and strong that a 6'5 he would back you down and shoot a little fall away. Competely unstoppable.

The NBA Championship proved to me once again, the regular season doesn't mean anything. The only thing that matters is post season. My point is and how it related to Bearcats basketball, yeah we haven't had the sweet 16 or elite 8 and beyond runs that we want but being in the tournament 6 straight years is pretty awesome. Nothing like seeing your name in the field of 68!
