12-1 with their only loss to #2 Michigan by 5. 4th in the nation in FG percentage. 2nd in the nation in assists. I've not watched them play but this seems like a very tough road game.

I'm getting nervous.

Here's where McRalph says Pitt hasn't beaten anybody and we have nothing to worry about despite our sputtering offense.

Mick and the coaching staff spent all Friday scouting a team...his own team! Read an article how for Friday and Saturday they scouted the bearcats and went over in every detail what will make them lose and what the other team scout them to stop them. Hopefully that lose on Thursday was a good wake up call.
To win this game on Monday we must score the basketball and be at least in the 70's. If we get stuck on the 50's I think we lose. SK better wake up and start playing to his potential and the bearcats need to get fouled!!

I will say the score will be 73-64 good guys. I am def a little nervous for this game though.

I talked to Mick and pointed out the following:

Another point.

UC held Oregon (10-2) to 66 points. Their second lowest offensive output of their season.

UC held Alabama (7-4) to 56 points, their second lowest offensive output of their season.

UC held Marshall (7-6) to 56 points, their second lowest offensive output of their season.

UC held Xavier (7-4) to 45 points, their lowest offensive output of the season.

UC held Wright St. (8-4) to 58 points, their 6th lowest output of the season.

UC held New Mexico (13-1) to 55 points, their LOWEST output of the season. Previous low was 65 points.

THE DEFENSE IS STIFLING.

Geez. If we could simply average 60 ppg we'd be undefeated. FIX THE OFFENSE.

He said they would go over this on Friday and Saturday. ;)

Has anyone seen the competition Pitt has gone up against? They played well against Mich and didn't lose by much, but other than that game, they've had pretty much the softest schedule in the world. They only scored 59 pts against a 1-11 Kennesaw St. team. I'm not sure they're so deserving of a ranking. The one loss just looks pretty. I think if we come well-prepared and smart, we should win by 10-15. If nothing has changed since Thursday, we lose by 8.

Anyone else want to see Shaq get more minutes? I really feel like he can add a lot to our offense. He looked great against New Mexico.

this will be a very interesting game. I think either team will be hard pressed to score 60 points. with that said, I think we have more offensive weapons than they do. I think new mexico was a wake up call.

uc 57
pitt 52

this probably won't be a very pretty game. i'm expecting something like the be title game last year. just hoping they brick more shots then us.

uc 62 pitt 58

He's very streaky. He will need to have a much larger role next year. I am ok with the 15 or so he is getting currently.

20 lead changes, high intensity game will go to triple overtime......

UC 73-Pitt 72 with a 3 at the buzzer from cash.

Pitt is getting better and better. You can't go by what they did back in November or early December.

I'm very nervous about our Out of Conference schedule not preparing us for the Big East. I'm worried its made us soft.

We've played three quality teams Out of Conference and are 2-1.

Iowa state
Oregon
New Mexico

Teams we were counting on to be good, Xavier(7-5) and Alabama(7-5), are mediocre teams at best.

Really concerned about our halfcourt offense and our bigs going into Big East play

If the reports of 2-day team meetings with the coaching staff to review the New Mexico game are true........that loss could be a rejuvenating force for the rest of the season if they get the offense straightened out. The defense is nails.
