I picked Diarra.
But my hope for Scott offensively is that he catches in the high post, and we can either have him hand off, turn and face, power dribble and go up strong, or rise up and knock down a jumper from 15 feet in. I do not mind if he takes a few 3s...kind of like Clark his SO year type of attempts. I think he has a better chance of making them though if he complete eliminates any shots from 15-20 feet. That is not what we want him doing. In a weird way, the good news for our post guys is that they won't bring on double teams the way Clark and Washington would. So they will have a better chance in 1 on 1. Scott and Cumberland need to be our best all-around players...in terms of stuffing the stat sheet. Scott needs to offensive rebound, work on his handle more so he can take the ball coast to coast off of steals he generates, really work with his teammates on decision making when operating out of the high post and developing that chemistry, especially with a guy like Broome, and he needs to get stronger so he can finish over bigger guys, while playing in a more extended role.
Coach says all these guys can "run for days". Good. Bc I'm sick of the fatigue thing all the time. These aren't old ass men. Nevada traveled from Reno to Nashville, played an OT game with 3 guys over 40 minutes, use only 6 guys anyway, then completed the biggest 2nd half comeback in the history of the NCAA Tournament. Enough of the bs about our guys being so tired all the time. We clearly saw for Nevada that travel in the tournament doesn't mean a damn thing.
