Put your head in the mindset of an 18 year old basketball hotshot, and reevaluate how important it may be

Plus, UNLV brings in 5 star players on the reg anyway. Talent wasn't the issue there. Dave Rice's incompetence was.

I've been in that situation. Like I said, a lot of things at UC has for their athletes are state of the art.

And how has Mick done with his 5* recruits?

Why does everyone keep talking about this new arena like it is some magic answer to making everything better. It reminds me of GABP and all the talk that a new stadium would make them world series contenders.

They have state of the art practice courts, weight rooms, dorms, etc. Players don't care if the sight lines from the upper decks are bad. It's already been mentioned that UNLV has a great arena, so they should already be awesome, right?

Outstanding point. That renovated arena crap is so overrated and in general, we have some of the finest facilities in the nation. The arena only means something if we have a poor coach who can't get people to come any other way. So, it is important for Mick. For Huggs, everyone had to buy freaking football season tickets to watch our pathetic football team, just so we could swarm into that terrible basketball arena to watch basketball. The scalpers were making great money as well selling overpriced tickets in the horrible upper deck. Nobody gave a crap about those horrible sight lines. They just wanted to watch a top rated program. Who in the hell wants better sight lines to watch this god-awful offense? I've thought seriously about moving to the upper deck myself, just to lessen the stress on my eyeballs.

Some of you guys are cracking me up tonight. Lol.

World has changed.

Seems like Terry would make a good assistant coach! LOL.

I would like to see Kenyon on the staff. You want to land some talented big men? Get a guy like Kenyon who was the number 1 overall pick on your staff to work with the bigs. Seems like he is around the program a lot more. Maybe there is an interest there with him?

I complained back then and still do. I wish they would move more of the red sweaters out of the lower deck. Talk about lack of crowd energy

Shaq's son is Class of '18 in CA too...and Shaq said he doesn't want him to be a one and done. Go get him!

I'd also love to hire Erik Martin away from WVa (he's still there right?) but he's probably too loyal to Huggs to leave there.
