I feel sorry for him.

UC has the biggest win of the year, and he isn't here to say what we are all saying.

I'm sure MC dedicated the win to you (as you are he). So you do have that going for ya.

I raise my drink to the indomitable Ralph. He lives on....elsewhere.

Ouch! Just two.

Maybe I'm feeling it after the game. Best I've felt about this team in awhile, even after a solid Leweyville win.
Good times.

Sorry if I'm out of the loop, but what are you talking about ? Is this the Ralph person that posts here an on BCN ? Did he die ? Seriously, I don't get it.

Ralph was over the top on his support for UC and his need to bash Huggins every chance he could was more than annoying. However, he was consistent in his support of the program, and did so more than with just with his mouth. As this is a site for Bearcat supporters, would it be better to have someone who supports the Bearcats unconditionally, or those whose support them mainly when times are good, and then return to bashing the program after losses. I didn't mind most of his posts, as they were consistently positive about UC. I definitely could have done without his need to prop up Cronin at the expense of denigrating what Bob Huggins did during his time at UC.

I will greatly miss Ralph. I took his comments as comic relief while others were so continually negative about the Cronin era.

Banning him removes one of my favorite reasons to visit this board. Some easily offended posters are just wrapped too tight to appreciate Ralph's counter-balancing influence. His hyperbole was calibrated to offset the haters to a fine point.

Ralph would be too excited to post anyways. It'd take him forever to post "Mick is God" with only one hand.

I took him the same way, but since most members did not, I thought it best to remove a perceived problem. Hence the thread. Goes to show you can't please everyone.

Just for my own curiosity, how many posters actually complained about him? I wonder if a poll was taken, how many would come to his defense. I would.

I never got the whole "Ralph" thing either. I'm pretty experienced in dealing with trolls as an admin/moderator on a non-sports forum, and I never saw him in that way. Ralph was more of a "homer" than a troll, in my eyes at least.

On any public forum, you have to deal with many different personalities and egos. That's why it's called a community. I too, will miss reading his posts and the banter resulting from said posts, but at the end of the day, it's the job of the administrators and moderators of the site to ultimately keep the peace.

Just my $0.02

Agreed. I enjoyed Ralph's posts and only took it as humor.

Ralph is a troll, simple as that. I don't care whether you love or hate Cronin, love or hate Huggins, he had one mission here and that was to annoy the living crap out of everyone. Obviously he failed with a few of you but the guy never brought anything of substance to the forum other than to say Mick is the best coach in america and Huggins is the worst. He did it on BCN and got banned, he did it on NCAAbbs and got banned. He does it non-stop on every other UC message board there is. Good riddance to any adult that acts in such a manner. Must have a sad life.
