Can I report this for being offensive just based upon the lack of knowledge displayed? It offends me as a UC basketball fan.

I'm a big baseball fan, and this team reminds me a bit of the Royals. They lost Game 7 last year and Ned Yost said he just kept waiting for the team to move past it. But they never did. They've been on a mission ever since. We could've folded so many different times last year, including in the Purdue game, but we did not. And playing Kentucky gave us that taste. Everything you see and hear and read all offseason is about the dedication of the guys on this team. I know we're ready to go this year, and you can just feel the confidence of the guys in all the interviews and quotes. What a difference a year can make.

Not sticking up for anyone here, but based on some of the stuff thrown at Bulldog, it would be difficult to not be defensive. He comments on the Cats, and then takes about 10 or 20 personal attacks. If we just stay away from the personal stuff, I don't think Bulldog would be so defensive. Having been the victim of some of this stuff in the past, I know from experience.

We all have different thoughts on how we reach the pinnacle of college basketball. Believe it or not, most of the witch hunting that went on during the early Cronin years on these boards, proved to be 100% unfounded and incorrect, and thankfully, most of those people are gone. These Mods are trying to make this a better board for all opinions to be expressed and I appreciate their efforts. I also respect Bulldog's right to talk about the Cats and believe he can communicate it anyway he wants as long as he is also respectful......but again, when repeated personal attacks or innuendos are tossed his way, the ability to remain respectful is almost impossible.

I've been to one HS game and couple summer leagues. I also believe his games on circuit last year where available on live stream.

first, you be wrong. he averaged just over one FTM/game and averaged close to 8 pts/game.

second, what does that have to do with him being a wing player? He got all his points in the paint (and if you want to point out the FT's, then where do you think he got those attempts from? hint: getting fouled in the paint). that is where he did his damage, not from the wing.

I saw him live and in color against one of the best defensive teams in college basketball on Saturday, and he looked damn good.

man are you putting way too much stock in one scrimmage. I remember some people, perhaps you were one of them, talking about how awesome Alvin Mitchell was going to be based on one scrimmage. I tried to tell people he could barely run without tripping over his feet but no one wanted to listen (and yea, I know, you said the same thing about NVE).

no knock on Clark just want see him make nba. Couple highlights I seen from Saturday he would NEVER play in my post
 
It's guys that get college offers at practice. If I got to watch you 10x to determine your talent something lacking

Lol....nope, never got on the Mitchell bandwagon. He was a Cronin recruit and until recently none of his recruits inspired much bandwagon jumping, except for those jumping off the bandwagon.

Thankfully, that is changing and these recent freshmen are bringing smiles to our faces.
 
Do we GET BETTER playing against each other or another team? GEESH, when we want to play in summer league it's called BS and players get better playing against each other. Which is it? Do we get better playing mother of Mary or against a top 10 defense? According to Mick no team practice harder.

Lol...I believe it was Caupain, since he was the opposite point guard, but I'm not positive. My tongue in cheek comment was just acknowledging that we are one of the best defensive teams in the nation and he looked very good against our very good defensive players.

Caupain ain't take that lil boy in paint and abuse him. You can't have somebody 5'7 on you and don't drop 20 on that freshman who weak defensively
 
In all seriousness L-T, NOBODY tried taking jenifer in post? If that case I'm not excited about none of our guards. He too little not be tried in paint
