After attending last night's game, they have no right hander in the bullpen that i trust. They run a rookie out in tie game against Pujols!?! I was shocked it stayed in the park. I was sitting in left center, and I took my hat off to give myself a better chance at catching his home run ball. Sadly, I am not kidding.

Reds win second in a row today behind a big day from Drew Stubbs... triple and run in the 1st... winning grand slam in the 8th... watch out Chris Dickerson, somebodies looking to take control of that CF spot... alas, more than one good night it does take...

Reds win today, and this..

22-year-old Aroldis Chapman has hit 101 on the radar gun in Toledo in his U.S. debut

The offense has shown some signs of life over the past few games... and it's defintely needed... how about that outburst of power from Rolen yesterday?

Reds looking tough so far.

Masset was a beast last night........finding a way to hold off the Marlins in the bottom of the 9th.

Rolen w/ 2 HRs and 3 RBI......including the game winner.

Our pitching staff looks tough. I cannot wait to get Champan and Volquez in the rotation.

Could you imagine the decision's that would have had to be made to start the year if Chapman hadn't tweaked his back and Volquez was healthy?... who's your starting 5 when those two are ready to go?... the writing is on the wall for Aaron Harang, imo...

No doubt.

We're paying Harang too much just to cut him and no one else wants him b/c of his contract...........and he stinks!

Chapman, Arroyo, Volquez, Bailey and Leake make a very nice rotation. Of course, Cueto is expected to be a large part of the future but his first two outtings of the season didn't go well.

By All-Star break we could have the best "young" rotation in baseball.

If this team is out of contention by the trading deadline (hope not) and Harang is at least pitching decently, he will be dealt. This would make room for either Chapman or Volquez in the rotation. I doubt Arroyo gets dealt this year because he is so durable and quite frankly, has been pitching really well. Of course, if they can't deal Harang, Arroyo could be the one to go. Now, this is all hypothetical and a nice potential problem to have but hopefully they will be in contention all year and not look to trade anyone.

Potential starting 5 next year: Cueto, Volquez, Bailey, Leake, Chapman....WOW!!! Could be together a long time too.

Signing Harang and Arroyo were killers. The sooner we get rid of the latter the better. Sorry, but his better days are behind him, apparently.

Doesn't the "latter" mean the second one of the two. You think Arroyo's days are behind him, or was it just a mistake? I assume its a mistake because 4 of his last 5 years hes had 14+ wins.

10-8?

That's getting close to awful. Reds can not afford to give up much more than 4 per game.

Thankfully they won.

I disagree. Arroyo has been pitching his best baseball ever since the all-star break of last year. His ERA on July 5 last year (about halfway through the season) was 5.85, which sucks. But by the end of the season it was 3.84. Dude's ERA was around 2 through the second half of last season. The guy gets better as he gets older. He's never going to be an ace, that's for sure, but he's got some gas left in the tank.

I'd rather dump Harang, even though I don't think his career is over either. As others have said, the future just looks so bright for the Reds' pitching staff that we don't need him.
