Can anyone lend Mike Leake $60?

Well done. The best part is they booked him with cash and three credit cards on him. I'm still holding out hope this is some sort of misunderstanding... we'll see what happens.

I have a good feeling about tonight with BP back in the lineup. I think he provides a spark and LeCure pitches 6 strong innings for the win, lets go with:

Reds 7
D'Backs 3

Good feeling gone. I'll be there tonight if they play, hopefully they can pull one out.

As to Leake, WCPO is reporting he actually paid for the T-shirts and was exchanging them without the assistance of a store clerk. I guess better than stealing, but still stupid.

As sad as this is, I wish I could shine a kinder light. People I know who are close enough to hear good information have said Leake did, indeed, lift the shirts. Why? That is anyones guess. My take on the whole matter is that this episode was a thrill ride for a young man who was bored. Could be wrong on the whole matter though. For once, I really hope I am.

Newsflash....the reds are not UC sports and suck. Back to your regularly scheduled thread about a terrible team with criminals...oh wait, which Cincy professional team would that be? The answer: both. Hahahahaha.

I really don't believe that story. IMO, there is no way that is actually what happened.

Yes and No... Yes its a messed up story, but who steals 50 bucks of stuff with 200+ in your wallet? Unless you have some sort of problem thats pretty clownlike.

That's my guess. I have heard about a ton of celebrities stealing stuff like clothes even though they have the money for them. I think this is a similar case. If not, and that is a real story, what moron would actually think that's how to execute an exchange? That's just as dumb as stealing it.

I know where you're coming from, and this could be a Winona Ryder like situation, but what's more likely? Rich guy steals $60 worth of clothes with $200 in his pocket? Or rich guy gets shitty service at a department store and is in a rush, so takes matters into his own hands? I think the latter is the simpler explanation, particularly given the fact that Mike Leake has had no prior issues with stealing, that I'm aware of.

I don't usually resort to personally attacks- and I'll do my best not to here, but:

That is such a moronic and misinformed statement it's not even funny.

Big win for the Reds today to salvage something from the homestand. Leake pitched well after a rocky 1st. Onto St. Louis for the first series of the year with the Cardinals, this should be fun...

Big series with Cards, Reds need to take 2 out 3, then 2 out of 3 in Milwaukee.

For the love of god Edinson, please have a strong outing tonight. I am getting tired of having to defend Volquez!!! The kid's got electric stuff, it's all between the ears and repeating his delivery!!!

One bad pitch ruined the entire game, of course the Reds could not score a run against a pitcher with a 9.+ ERA.
