If Leake returns to his early season 2010 form the Reds will win the Cental easily. The rotation has shaped up quite will, the only h guy that worries me is Volquez.

Who is going to be odd man out when Cueto and Homer return?

What about a 6 man rotation to help limit innings thrown by Wood, Leake and even Volquez who has yet to show he can make it through an entire season since his surgery? If Leake ends up being the odd man out one would think he would go to the pen and replace Matt Maloney as the long man.

Problem with a six man rotation is it takes a guy out of your bullpen or off your bench. As many veterans as we have who get to rest day games, you can't shorten the bench. Bullpen can get tight enough with starters getting chased early and/or extra inning games. You will never see a six man rotation outside of September when rosters get expanded. The rotation will work itself out. I'm sure as soon as Bailey and Cueto come back we'll realize there's something ailing Volquez and decide to sideline him for a short stint, then someone else will have an issue.

Home runs are overrated. Get guys on and get them over. This team has enough pop to take advantage of bad pitching when needed. They led the NL in runs scored last year, they'll be fine. It's April, balls haven't started carrying yet.

Oh I agree- but I still think we'll see a rather significant drop off in total team home runs though... it's yet to be seen how that will effect overall run production.

Reds have been fun to follow so far. Jay Bruce..join the fun.

Its my fault, I have him on one of my fantasy teams. I'm not starting him and am hoping to trade him, but I have a hard rule of not having any Reds on my team so I won't jinx them. I need to get him off my team so he can get his numbers up.

I put this loss on Dusty. He left Leake in the game too long and did a horrible job managing the bull pen. He needs to get rid of his "book".

Eddy was exceptional after the first inning tonight. Hopefully he bottles that- if he does he'll find himself back in the all-star game. Big win tonight for the team any way you cut it. Stops the bleeding from the Arizona series and puts their good foot forward in a series against a team they've really struggled against lately.

You think that chain throws off his balance? :D

What a great win last night. Great pitching, Milt Pappas settled down after the first inning, Dusty took Stubbs out of the lineup replacing him with Heize who hits the GW HR, Johnny Gomes HR. Go Reds!

What a win is right P. 6 runs in the top of the 11th. Stubbs with the 3 run Johnson to seal the deal! Bring out the broom!

Right when you think you've found who you can take out of the lineup for a few days so Heisey can start Stubbs hits a jack like that. Bruce looked better at the plate yesterday and Jonny had a couple clutch hits again. I think Dusty has to just keep doing what he's doing and split up the starts as best he can until somebody shows them self to be head and shoulders above the rest.

Tough loss for the Reds tonight. The Reds have lost 4 games, Masset has lost 3 of them.

God news is the Reds are on pace for 108 wins.
