15 minutes until tip off the RNN puts actual attendence about 1,500. The tickets sold attendence of 5,800 or so will be reported. Not a good time for a game, Sunday 7pm after Bengals vs Steelers.

That's still no excuse for the students.

UC leads 35-14 at halftime. When this game ends UC may lead the nation in scoring defense.

At least we have Xavier fans watching our every move still.

Defense was strong. I expect to see the offense be better than they were tonight. We'll see..

The offense had its moments tonight and i f=expect it to be better, we should be scoring 80 a game at least in these non conference games

Sorry, but for a top 25 team that is just inexcusable. Show support.

Same goes for UCLA--only had 5,000 something in a loss last week. Kidding me?

as an fyi- pauley pavillion is being renovated and ucla is playing near usc. this is about 15 miles away- which in LA traffic time on a weeknight, could be an hour drive away from campus.

essentially, in real terms, if uc was playing north of dayton, i dont think they would get more than 100 fans.

This will be a top 5 team in defense. We could have held them to under 30 if we kept starters in longer.

Offense looked a little rusty.

Attendance

Having gone to Fifth Third and to Cintas, i can tell you one huge turn off is the seating at Fifth Third. At Cintas, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The cheap seats at UC games are terrible.

Offense always lags behind defense. Need to develop bench scoring. Davis will have to play with Parker out and has to hit shots. Has to learn to be strong with the ball. Sanders is being too passive. Guyn is the only one we can count on in this point in time to give solid minutes. Gaines is going to be a freak!!

defense was about where i expected... which is a good thing.

However there is no reason we shouldnt have been in the 80's last night. Offensive production needs to improve. SK has continued to shoot the three poorly.

The offense worries me (this isn't based on last night's game). I always had high hopes of a great offense when Cronin was first hired but so far his offenses have never been high powered. A lot had to do with talent but the talent is there this year. Two good low post players who are also good at passing. A pg who was known as a score first pg and a shooter and SK who can be deadly. The offense has no excuses for not being very good.

Hopefully Dixon becomes a threat. I'm not worried about SK, he will find his shot. But your SG has to be a dangerous threat from the outside...that guy that if you accidentally leave alone he is going to burn you. I'm afraid that Dixon isn't that guy.

SK's shot looked really good at the scrimmage. I think he will be fine.
