My niece got raped at Xavier 2 years ago, but the university did nothing about it and swept it under the rug to save face.

I think there are some lawsuits going on regarding other female students who got raped and nothing was done to save face for the university.

As a former Catholic, the Catholic Church swept so much under the rug in terms of pedophilia, rape, sexual abuse..........why would anyone expect anything good at Xavier? They've done the same thing for years.........and I'm talking 30 or more years.

he is right about xavher and at least you have something to be proud of but when it's all said and done xavher has no championship banners hanging off their rafters. its nice to go to uc games and see those championships and tradition around the arena

Anyone who compares UC to their school in the past decade loses any credibility they have right away. I would HOPE your team had better records and more success than UC had during that time. If you didn’t, then that speaks for your program. We had nobody, and you can’t build a program in one year if you want to do it the right way – it takes time.

No, Xavier is not a mid-major program – they are in a mid-major conference. The A10 has gotten a lot better, but it has been pretty bad in the past. But as a college basketball fan, if you can’t acknowledge that the Big East is the top 1-2 conferences year in and year out, you have a problem. Rebuilding a program is tough enough – when you have to do it while playing in the Big East, that’s a whole different level. We didn’t get to play bottom feeders of the A10 for half of our conference schedule.

BTW, Big East named its commissioner and is going to get a lucrative TV deal soon, probably better than the ACC TV deal. Let me know when Louisville and UCONN leave…Even if they do, the Big East > A10. Still would have UC, Marquette, Georgetown, ND, USF, Villanova, and Memphis. Not to mention St. John’s, Rutgers, and Providence are improving.

Your record in the tournament argument doesn't prove anything.

Mick → 3 – 4 (2 losses with Murray State against Illinois (Brown, Head, Williams) and UNC (Hansbrough, Green). Other losses with UC were against UCONN and OSU)

Mack → 4 – 3 (Some/all of those wins were with Miller’s players (Crawford carried the team in ’11 tournament). Not to mention you beat ND on a lane violation and got a gift to play Lehigh. I know you can’t control who you play but still…. Mick has never been outcoached like Mack was against Marquette. Mack was clueless against Buzz.

I’m not even going to get into the brawl, but if you seriously think Ellis was the instigator to the fight….wow, I don't even know what to say to that.
