There's still a lot that could happen between now and the start of the AAC tournament, but at the moment we would be the #5 seed and would face #4 seed SMU in our first game on Friday 3/12 (while receiving a first round bye).

If we won, we'd likely face the #1 seed the next day, which at the moment is Wichita.

Given everything that has gone on this season, that's a pretty favorable path to the championship game on Sunday.

Hopefully that holds up for us.
 
Our third SEC game this season. Vandy is about the same as Georgia. Hopefully this game goes a little better than that one.
 
I like the vandy game. Good enough to give us a game but not a team that is going to beat us by 30. Hopefully. The more experience the better.
 
I think a 3 wins would be a great realistic goal for the rest of the season. End on a mostly positive note. Get guys to buy in
 
Archie Miller looks to be in trouble at Indiana. That could be big for us. I know we were in on some of their guys. This year and last year.

We still think that Steele instilled culture and toughness to xavier or not? We not hearing about their culture and toughness anymore.

And yet their busted ass team will be 3-0 vs John Brannen by the end of next year.

I don’t think Steele is a good coach. And he’s missing his glue guy right now. But that dude recruits circles around John brannen. He added more defense styled players and then has been trying to sprinkle in the skilled players.

They have a talented roster that should be better than it is.

But I’d take Xavier by 15 on a neutral court right now.



Question: will John’s 3rd year be better then steeles first year?



Cincinnati sports may have peaked at mick and Mack. That’s sad

Yep they are better than us. You got that right. There are about 200 teams better than us. What about their culture and toughness though? Did it disappear? Where’d it go? Is kunkel a winning player still?
 
I’m also not sure Steele could recruit like that in the American. The big East tournament alone recruits a lot of players.

You didn’t answer the question.


Xavier lost 3 out of its last 4 without its best glue guy and 3 & D player. They were making the tourney until that span.

But Would you swap their roster or keep ours?

I think they have a better roster foundation. I think kunkel will be a bigger factor for them over the next 2 seasons.

If Steele could actually coach, that would be a top 25 team.

I think he could. Maybe he cheats. Dude was pulling every Indiana recruit for a while.

He is a great used car salesman. Only now he doesn’t have Chris Mack to coach them.


And Steele very much attempted to build his roster on toughness and defense and then add the offensive pieces. But the dude is in over his head coaching wise.

That said. If this very team played in the big East, we wouldn’t be awful and still some how win 7 games in the league like we do the AAC.

Brannen and Steele both look bad at the moment. I’m not sure your point.

My point maybe we have no idea what we are talking about when it comes to toughness and culture.

Could you imagine getting a core of Marshall, Jones, Scruggs, and Goodin, then adding 6 top 140 guys to that and not making the tournament once in 3 years.

Everything was set up perfect for Steele and he just can't coach them.
