Listened to the latest bcj podcast. Nothing great but chad did throw out a couple names we are talking to: I know people don’t like chad but he did give some info to note.

Au’Diese Toney from Pitt (met with him already)
Jamison Battle from GW (good relationship with him when at nku and he was coming out of high school)
Camron fletcher from UK (meeting with him today)

Also they are in on big name at the 5, that would make an impact right away. Said he can’t name them yet. Soon

Also Myron Gardner former gtown player. Juco now

Also said the staff is a little worried about Bryson spell athleticism

I would like any of the top 3 names. Don’t know about the Gardner guy. Not much on him.

Toney is solid all around, but not great in any individual stat. More of a slasher with a high FT rate and lots of attempts at the rim. Shooting is decent. TO rate spiked a bit this year. Good option to replace Keith.

Battle seems like Mason but 3 inches taller. Good shooter who doesn't foul. Takes a lot of midrange shots, but hits them. Could be a Gabe replacement.

Fletcher and Gardner barely played, so hard to evaluate them.

Fletcher looks like a incredible athlete that a little under sized and really raw. 6’6, would be one of the best athletes in the league. Kind of like a hicks. Would be a good get. Would probably benefit from dropping a level

John Harrar is a grad transfer that absolutely fits a need. Everybody will be after him, but 25 DR%, 16 OR% in the big 10 (to go with a 119.3 ORTG)

Rob Banks is a solid player for a scholarship.... at Miami University, not UC

Looks like Jake LaRavia from Indiana St would be the dream transfer 5. His offense is better than Vogt last year, and he's a better rebounder, fouls less, and has slightly better block+steal rates. He's really the only big available so far that looks good on both ends.

LaRavia is headed to Wake Forest. The longer our uncertain situation drags out, the number of quality players available will shrink.

Listening to the Cincy Slangin podcast, they say the University saves $500k by waiting until april 1st to fire Brannen. Anyone know if that's accurate and where they get that from?

They are pretty harsh on Brannen. I agree with them, so that tells you something.
