Chad reported that Cunningham and Pinto seem to be in lockstep on this issue not that long ago. Corryville Carl reported and Chad has indicated that the BoT is almost certainly also in agreement. They don't start an outside investigation if there is nothing to find.

If Pinto and Cunningham are truly in lockstep, then I feel much better about this. Pinto went through this with Pitino and Jurich at UL. This is not his first dance with a basketball coach violating his contract and potentially placing the school in jeopardy. Because he is supporting Cunningham and his efforts leads me to believe there is something that constitutes firing for cause.

Pinto and Cunningham are morons. I don’t care what happens to Brannen but if they want him gone just pay the contract out instead of dragging it out. It’s ridiculous that these are the people leading uc. Players and Coaches come and go but keep alienating the fanbase and see how that works out.

Brannen wanted to play hard ball with what essentially is a hit piece to pit the fans against the UC administration. So UC put him on leave to show him and the fans that this is serious.

You don't place someone on leave with out reason to.

Brannen is an elite loser. I want him gone yesterday.

UC will fire with cause and UC will win and they will win because of the hard work they are putting in now. Possibly hard work that saves the school from lawsuit from ex players.


This isn't going to destroy the program. Look what good hires can do in just 2 years. Brannen aint the guy.

Apparently Brannen has now officially lawyered up. There is a reason that UC admin has been locked down tight.

Also Jaume Sorolla tweeted "Karma". Add him to the growing list of players who have shown they do not like Brannen (for those keeping count, it's virtually every player who has transferred out since the start of the 2019-2020 season).

So yes he's bluffing. He also seems to be indicating that he's going to play hard ball. Not going to settle. Which means we are likely in for an extended legal battle when (or if) Brannen is fired with cause.

It also means Brannen's HC career is essentially over. He could try to salvage it with a settlement, but if he goes down swinging and takes it to a lengthy legal battle he will be untouchable as a HC.
