I know it sounds cliche.

But Im not really sure I want my team finishing out the season and going into the tourney on such a long winning streak.

This is a wake up call. It feels weird to lose.

I think they just need to work on staying intense even when you have the lead.

I agree 100%. Better to get the loss out of our system before we can't really afford to have one later

I look at it this way, it is next to impossible to beat a team 3 times in one season. We will beat them in our conference tourney!

Will see them again in conference final. Really disappointed in TC today. When your conference player of the year candidate only comes with 2 points in the biggest game it is hard to win. We turned the ball over way to much.

22-3 with all losses coming against teams that were ranked. Better than a lot of teams ranked higher than us can claim.
They shot over 60% second half, we shot under 30%. Credit mostly smu defense, and partly just missed open shots.

That said, I really cant stand how we fall out of love with every offensive approach after one empty trip down the floor except the 3 ball. We hardly gave kyle a shot to get a good post up. They tried gary 2 times in a row with a post up but then gave up on that. But boy, we are more than happy to jack up the 3 ball.

Cronin was definitely a little trigger happy with pulling our subs for mistakes.

What has been the best so far this year has been our ability to change offensive approach with the ebbs and flows of the game. Sucked last night, but we have adjusted pretty well in game most of the year, hence 22-3 record.

Wisconsin lost to northwestern and virginia lost to v tech, losses happen

Losses def happen. Of course those teams would lose when we have our worse timely loss. We could have really made a move with a SMU win. Oh the what if's. I'll keep saying this but until we win games like yesterday and in March, we won't gain much respect.

This wasn't a bad loss. I hate it, but not a bad loss. By seasons end, the fact that we already beat SMU might end up being our best win because they very well could be top-10 by the time the NCAA Tourney rolls around. As long as we take care of the teams we should beat...this was not a bad loss. As of right this minute we really have 0 bad losses.

A rubber match in the AAC final (if it happens) will have more to do with seeding than yesterday.

Forward we march.

Add to your all three losses were ON THE ROAD.

I think Clark would've had to go to his left hand in the post everytime yesterday to get a clean look. SMU plays super tough.

Sucks Caupain didn't show up but he has showed up big this year against other teams. Butler SMU the first time and Xavier. Hit game winners against Tulsa and Marshall. He deserves a 3rd shot at SMU.

How can you write off other teams for the same exact reason you are bashing UC for?

if you can't throw it in the hoop, take it to the hoop

Until UC has a guard who can consistently create a shot by driving through traffic and finishing, there will always be that problem of what to do when the jump shots don't fall...just a fact of life...that's the major element they are missing in their game...Troy has done it some, and in some huge moments to tie/win games, but it doesn't happen on a regular basis.
I wish it did.

The annual Cronin Collapse is coming. Team has no mental toughness. Clark has disappeared.

We'll see soon enough, but this team definitely looks different to me.

Clark struggles in some situations, but we have the team to go to the Sweet 16. And like any other team must play good in the sweet 16 to make it to the final 8. The tournament is a crapshoot anything can happen. But I am enjoying every second of this season. Obviously I did not enjoy the loss but you get my point.

We all get frustrated with losses but when the dust settles I think it's important to keep perspective. We have 3 losses this year...compared to 22 (I think) over the past 2 years. I'm really trying not to get spoiled. This season has been incredible so far. This team is a joy to watch and the players are easy to root for. Here's to hoping we learn something from the loss and crank it back up for the stretch run.

Eventually, we have to start winning these games if we want to be taken seriously. Couple wins in March wouldn't hurt either. I still think we have a good team but one of these years we have to win something.

Despite his performance lately we'll miss Troy next year. But if Broome and JJ can create shots by penetrating, we'll quickly get over it
