Couldn't disagree more with this part. That's all Evans tries to do and he gets nowhere. In theory, I agree. But it doesn't work very well in practice.

Cuts to the rim and better passing would also help. Not all street ball dribble drives but an offense that moves towards the rim instead of relying on nothing but 3's. It's worked well for us most of the season but it scares me come March.

It's tough when you see Gary getting double teamed and he hits Evans for a wide open three a couple times and then you see Washington get double teamed and he refuses to hit an open man for a three...

You're doing the exact same thing as the "haters"...just directing your frustration at them instead of the coach or team. So, get over yourself.

I'll never understand this kind of post. Obviously this is disappointing. Obviously there were deficiencies. It's not hating pointing out that smu has a great starting five. It's not hating saying that we shouldn't be a four seed or higher, that's reality. Yes it has been a good season so far, however we haven't played a tough schedule and losing one of our few opportunities is unfortunate and contributes to the perception that we and the aac are not relevant. Frustrating

SMU is impressive. Really hope we get a rubber match. We need to face a team like that again before the NCAAs.

I could see how they could struggle against a team with quick guards that can penetrate, but we aren't that team.

My point is we have a good team. We have a had an incredible run so far. SMU is a very good team especially at home. We lost. Didn't play all that well. I'm over myself. On to the next one. The sky is not falling. A lot of season left.

I haven't read far back to see if anyone else noticed this however: the one takeaway I have from this game that trumps all others is a huge concern for me. After the 5 second call on Capuain on the out of bounds play he was immediately subbed out. I think it was Larry Davis who asked Mick something to the effect of, "What's wrong with Troy". You can read Micks lips when he responded plain as day, "He's f****** petrified". That isn't a good omen when your senior guard seems afraid in a big road game.
