Man I don't know what we'd do without someone quoting the most used Wooden quotes of all time. None of us have ever heard those.

Again those are all well and good philosophical quotes and mindsets, but you are making my point in showing how most people tend to not want to acknowledge the role luck plays in many aspects of our lives, whether it be sports, business, life etc. We all want to believe we have more control over what happens than we really do because the alternative is terrifying to most people. And it's not even necessarily a bad thing because the illusion of control helps prevent many people from worrying about things outside of their control.

Think of the billions of people that have lived over time. Every single one of us in this thread is absurdly lucky just to have been born in a first world country in this particular era.

Against temple, SMU played just 6 guys and only 5 scored. I read that the 7th man McDowell is injured or at least was for temple.

You gotta credit smu's conditioning coach. He must be doing a good job. Ojeleye played 38 minutes, Milton played 39, brown played 36 and the least their starter played was 33 (Moore and foster).

That's a ton of minutes for a 9pm Thursday game in philly for a Sunday mid day tip

I just don't like the word lucky. A lot of lazy people depend on luck way too much.
I like quote below by Einstein.
Albert Einstein. “A coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous.”
You do the work and the powers that be will shine down on you. Okay know more philosophy for me I'm ready for the game!

Brooks just put a picture up on instagram saying he was back... that would be huge to get that physical down low presence again!

I have zero feel for how this game will go. I'm going to just hold on tight and hope for the best. I kinda feel like we're going to come charging out of the gate. But who knows, this is a great matchup.

why is that, 130 points scored 1st game.

Have we cracked 60 at Moody? I just worry about our shooting on the road and they'll definitely make us shoot. But if they fall for Evans and Caupain, and Washington, Clark, Cumberland, and Johnson chip in even a little bit from outside, it could easily go over.

we have, the higher scoring game overall has come at moody 2 of the 3 seasons.

1st game this year we shot really well but only forced 7 turnovers and only had 4 offensive rebounds, plus only took 7 FTs. you could easily see us score the same amount with much worse shooting.
