They have the 3rd best defense in the country on kenpom.
Our team this year kind of reminds me of Xavier last year. Good offense but easy to score on.

wow. They are playing well. They have the 3rd best defense in the country on kenpom.
Not sitting back letting your PG walk ball up every possession. Huggs would've been to embarrassed by performance at home to not got 1 technical
our numbers offensively have improved. Our defense and board work have been horrible. Wish I was a fly on the locker room wall. Would love to know what the players are saying amongst themselves when defensive breakdowns are leaving guys wide open or lanes to the rim. With the breakdowns attributed to help defense I wonder if there is some finger pointing going on. I can tell you when I competed even in a pick up game if a guy was getting lit up I had know problem mentioning it.
Kenyon tweeted he was going to pay the team a visit. Expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of things
I wish Steve Logan would do the same. He tweeted some real disappointment after the Temple game too.Kenyon tweeted he was going to pay the team a visit. Expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of things

Logan has been around fairly regularly over the past year...
Do you remember any of Huggs PGs? Barker,Horton to name a few. Good thing message boards werent around when they played

This is completely on the players. The system hasn't changed, the coaching hasn't changed, the players haven't changed. The effort and desire just isn't there. There is just no reason to be worse than last year.
But then why doesn't he sub? Use PT as the carrot. I don't think Ellis played that well in the first half to earn the second half start. He got put back in the line up too quick... too darn quick! I hope they go back to the basics. And continue to try to push on offense. Keep it simple. How many turnovers down the stretch? I don't think I've ever seen teams turn it over so much down the stretch.
From the tip it seemed like we were OK with it being " a game". I say get a lead and step on their throats. I never got the feeling anyone was really all that concerned about the score. Usually at home if the other team takes the lead the coach will call timeout. It's seeming like players and coaches were accepting the score.Steve Logan's twitter comment.....
"Embarrassing! Outplayed, out-toughed, low IQ of basketball...
Where is the player development at? Seniors playing like freshmen!"
Harder to rebound out of zone. Another reason to play less zone. Is part of the reason he plays less man BC Troy can't stop the other team PG? Not his strengthGuys our offense is far from perfect but the reason we are losing is defense and rebounding. We gave up 18 second chance points to a team we outsized.
Something else is going on behind the scenes. Has to be.No. I would say that's accurate. Honestly I don't see much of any improvement from returning players. One thing is for sure, the players body language is horrible too. They just don't even look like they give a shit.
teams zone us all game and do fine reboundingHarder to rebound out of zone. Another reason to play less zone. Is part of the reason he plays less man BC Troy can't stop the other team PG? Not his strength
Moore should transfer. He will not see the floor this year and will have Washington and Clark ahead of him the next two at 4&5 spot. Jenifer's minutes will increase next year and he should have the keys his Jr. Year if he developes. Before Mick got ill last year I said something wasn't right behind the scenes. Guyn, Lawrence and Mormon all transferred. Moore and jenifer might be following them.
Guyn transferred because it was time to step down after his injury and play for a college team that he can get as much playing time as possible. With Troy being a JR. and having the keys to lead this team it made sense for Guyn to move on. Lawrence left to be close to his father that was ill and Mormon left because of playing time. Ignorant considering he was a freshman. Lets not assume everyone is leaving and this team is in shambles. I already have friends texting me saying I bet Jarron Cummberland will de-commit. Everyone needs to calm down a little bit. I know there's some things going on we don't like, but we are one game into conference play. We will get things right!
A lot of teams out there unfortunately besides Xavier have been looking bad at times. Look at Maryland last night on the ropes to Penn State. The list can go on and on.
I think it would be awesome if K-Mart, Logan and some fellas come to visit and teach these boys a history lesson. I see Leonard Stokes regularly and I know he's always talking to Troy. He calls him his little brother. The older Bearcats are looking out for them and will make sure they get it correct.
