I appreciate the hell out of Gary but I'm not sure Evans is getting enough run this year. I get Gary is a Sr.

Evans is also a do everything guy who leads points, is asked to run point at times, plays 37.5 plus minutes when we need it, guards the best players, is unselfish, etc etc etc...

Dynamic Duo is a very good nickname for these two. If Clark is POY candidate... how far behind can Evans be?

I was thinking the same thing, clearly they both have to make first team AAC. And if Gary is getting or favored for POY, Jacob can't be far off. Couple other guys in the mix but think you could make an argument for them being 1 n 2 this year. Won't happen but just saying

Cronin loves to talk up his 4 year starting SRs. It was Troy and KJ Last year Gary this year. Makes me think Evans isn't leaving for NBA. Evans will get talked up next year.

If he is assured of being a first round pick he will be gone. Has nothing to do with being talked up.

Yeah I don't think even Evans himself can know what he'll do. I personally think he needs to stay.
yea I really think it could go either way. Lots will be determined by who comes out and who stays. I mean look at Ky. You could usually count on 4 kids coming out as underclassmen every year. I don't know if that happens this year. It will be interesting. The selfish part of me says I hope he stays but I wouldn't be disappointed if he left and landed it round 1. We all the time lament that we never send anyone to the league. Well here is our shot.

I don't think he's quite ready. Needs to polish up a little more. I expect he will, and next year could be a great chance to really put it all together.

I like the way Tre Scott is playing right now, early in the season when he was on the floor all he was looking to do was to pass the ball, now he is actually looking to score and being aggressive, I was one of the people on here that said I didn’t think he would be good, but since the game at temple he has looked pretty damn good

Temple didn't have a single player over 7 points

Evans had 5 assists and 5 steals

Gary filled it up again

The point was that Cronin talks a lot about Clark but not nearly as much as Evans. I think Evans deserves almost equal praise. He and Gary are both irreplaceable and deserving of first team AAC honors.

All of the things those two do for this team is amazing!

I was quite impressed with how Evans outplayed Quinton Rose during our two match-ups this season. The two were compared quite a bit over the offseason on the AAC board I also post on.

Granted Evans has much better support, but the way he can still impact a game without scoring an incredible amount says quite a bit as well.

Jake and Gary are putting together excellent seasons!

I remember being concerned in the early going exhibitions that they were not going to be aggressive this year. LOL! I was talking mainly about scoring but Cronin has really done a nice job of demanding their aggression by putting the ball in their hands a lot. But these two guys are aggressive everywhere else on the court. They are learning game by game just how good they can be on offense as well. They are taking over games late. Just very fun to watch what these guys are doing out there all around.

Haha I remember you being concerned. Funny to think about now for sure.

I would really like to see Evans launch a few more threes. I mean he should shoot whenever he gets the chance. We give him the ball in late clocks asking him to do some things that are uncomfortable for him...but he can pop a 3 any time. We try to see if we can get other things going on offense early on without popping too many early 3's but I don't mind Evans taking them except for obvious red light situations.

It must be nice for Cronin to be able to throw 2 guys out there and really the only concern is taking more shots...lol!

He's got enough to scream about. Come to think of it...you almost NEVER see Cronin getting on Cumberland's case either. He's a smart intuitive BB player. Cronin doesn't really have to worry much about him either.

Kyle and Cane on the other hand? Geesh! Kyle takes it all in stride...he has a great attitude. Cane is giving some evil looks...lol! I laugh but it is a little concerning that he's not accepting the coaching as well as other players do.

he's also the only one that loses minutes to an inferior player. that wears you down over time.

its always a fine line between getting the most out of a guy and starting to alienate a guy. we have to hope cronin and cane are having loving clashes and not spiteful ones.
