Wow, that's impressive. Nice find.Going all the way back to 2002, UC's current AdjD, 84.4, is tied for 3rd-best in 17 years of Kenpom.

Going all the way back to 2002, UC's current AdjD, 84.4, is tied for 3rd-best in 17 years of Kenpom. Only Virginia this year (81.6, an utter anomaly), Memphis in 2009 (84.2), and UK in 2015 (84.4) match our current 84.4 (also of note: John Calipari coached both the top two teams in AdjD prior to this season)
Third best out of over 5,500 team-seasons, and it isn't good enough to lead the nation this year.
and our in conference AdjD is 79.3. think about that one.
Rewatched the game, unfortunately it only went to the 9 minute mark in the second half, we were up 60-30 at that point so the game was basically over anyway, it's the best I got lol. Made a +/- for as much of the game I was able to watch, 1st half in parenthesis.
Jenifer +10 (+11)
Cumberland +12 (+13)
Evans +26 (+14)
Clark +27 (+13)
Washington +16 (+15)
Broome +20 (+5)
Scott +4 (+3)
Brooks +1 (0)
Nsoseme +15 (+1)
Moore +22 (+5)
A lot of it came down to if you were part of the 14-0 run in the second half.
Nice work! The plus minus numbers can often come down to 2-3 runs per game but we have to figure out why we are going on those runs. Sometimes we just hit shots (more of a coincidence) but other times it's because we are getting better looks or the flow is better.
Often times the first thing we want to do is try to get it down into the paint. The other team being aware of this from film can just work on denying the ball and doubling down for a few minutes. Boom...we get off to a slow start.
Maybe we should mix that up a little so the other team doesn't know what to expect? We can always try that strategy a little later. I think we should be a little less predictable to start the game sometimes unless we have 1 on 1's with our bigs of course.
To put our elite D in perspective. UVA is #1 KenPom AdjD at 81.6 (insane). we are at 84.5. the next best is at 88.8.
Last year #1 was 86.3 and #2 was 88.0
