Guys as a team we are shooting almost 57 % from in side the arc. If guys like Kevin,Gary and Troy can just reach their norm of 30-32 % from behind the arc we can really take a step forward. I'm not asking for any of them to be more then what they have been in their careers. Couple that with our bench starting to jell with Jaron,JJ,Brooks and Scott and we can have a very nice run. I am predicting that if those 3 come close to their norm going forward we win the league and conference title.

Our efficiency this year is pretty good at 32 on KenPom. If we can get Troy and KJ making around 1/3 from deep we should have a very well rounded offensive team. We are starting to reap the benefits of a different style of recruiting.

To top it off we are still #10 on D so we aren't losing ground there right now.

WH that 57% is also 8 % over the average. Again we just need TC, Gary, and KJ to give us their norm. We are not far from being a very scary team. Also as you pointed out our defense is still outstanding

Some numbers, Gary behind the arc is shooting 9%, TC is at 23% and KJ 15%. No way they shoot this bad all year.

I would add FTs to that list. That's been bad too...and should improve.

For sure on the FT's.

Mick even commented after the game on the radio that no one on this team is a "bad" FT shooter. They just need them to start falling in games.

Gary has to get his jump shot working again and his free throw shot.

IF we can get our 3 point shooting as a team up to 33% and our FT to 70%, then we will have a really well rounded offense.

Our 2pT% is good for 19th in the country.

Sounds doable. The most encouraging thing to me is these guys from a career perspective have done much better. Not asking for them to do more then what they have done before.

Off topic but does anyone know of any deals on apple watches. If so please PM me. If I don't get my wife one for Xmas I may need a place to live.

Rewatching the game we had 16 with 7 min left in first, so we put up 80pts in 27 min. I like that.

I think I'm the team's bad-luck charm. I literally only watched the exact beginning timeframe you're talking about (16 points with 7 minutes left). I then went to MOTR in OTR to see a stand-up show with the GF. Checked the score at the end like HOLY SMOKES! I missed all the good stuff! I'll definitely be re-watching from the Roku tonight.

Cronin said bc he gets to start whoever he wants and he wanted to start Moore. Also said he gets blame if they lose but he gets paid well so he doesn't mind. He liked how Moore practiced. Also said Cumberland has been practicing well.

You make it sound so negative. You guys complain about his coaching then complain when he coaches. Washington player terrible against butler, stupid fouls, bad shots ad then apparently followed it up with a less than energetic practice. he was held responsible for it. Good for Mick, maybe Washington will make some better decisions next time.

I don't think that's the actual reason "because I can." Trying to make him sound like an overgrown child, it gets annoying. He's right he's the boss and he can start/sit whoever he likes. however I'm sure there is more reasoning behind it than that.

Looks like Kyle got the message. 9 boards in 18 minutes.

Right I feel the same way sometimes haha. I was just getting off work while the butler game was starting, by the time I got to the bar to watch it, it was a couple min before half. Then we shit the bed in the second, I'm like yeah glad I made it out for this haha

This was the first game of the year where I felt jenifer felt truly comfortable out there on offense.

I know he had hit some shots in other games but he was mostly still just passing around the 3 point line, and not penetrating.

This game he was facing dudes his size and moved well with and with out the ball and finished with 9 assists and zero TO's.

I hope he does the same in the next 2 games because were gonna need to get his confidence and feel at the highest for conference play.

But over all, with him and Broome, I feel very confident in UC's future over the next 2 years after Troy leaves

9 assists, 0 turnover. I'd take that with zero points lol, that's impressive.

Very nice to see him react positively to coaches decision. Think about this if the leading scorer and a upper class men can be sat down for failure to practice hard or play hard it has to send a big message to rest of the locker room. Just as Klyes handling of the situation also had to be seen as a reminder that sulking is not the answer either.

Also nice to see Moore rewarded for his practice habits. It's obvious the kid did a lot of work over the summer. His physical conditioning is very apparent. I really think he is trying to do better and seeing him on the bench when coach pulled him a few games back I felt sorry for him. Nice to see he is still battling.

Dude I am literally repeating exactly what the coach said. Go watch the press conference. He was asked why Washington didn't start and that was his answer. Smh.

That stat line and Cumberland 4-4 from 3 are two things we needed to see! That and Kyle knowing he can't take nights off rebounding.

Last year Thomas was getting the starts but Evans was usually closing out the games. They were basically splitting minutes before Thomas went down.

I would like to see something similar develop with KJ and Cumberland (minus the injury). It didn't hurt that Evans was a pretty good defender so not sure if Cronin will opt for KJ in end of game situations.
