What do we know about them? I haven't seen them play this year and looked up their schedule. They've not beaten any ranked opponents, are 1-3 on neutral sites and have a guard (J'Covan Brown) that drops 20/game. Anyone got a feel for how good they are?

Florida State looked nasty this week. Maybe the Bonnies can beat them.

I know this gets asked every year but when are the times announced for the Thursday and Friday games?

They are both a veteran squad and young squad. Weird mix of junior/seniors and a bunch of frosh that play alot. J'covan Brown does all the scoring. They go about 10 deep.

They don't shoot it particularly well from three point range, but you know how that goes for UC........that's when a team seems to get hot from out there.

They supposedly turn the ball over alot and can get sloppy. Also heard they don't really have a good low post game and that Yancy should do well.

Saw Texas twice and Brown usally keeps them in games. Pressure will rattle them but they have some talent and UC can't come in like they did against Louisville. Cats should win.

St. Bonnie has a good center from Canada, Andrew Nicholson, that was player of the year in the A10. He averaged over 18ppg and just over 8 rpg, along with 1.8 bpg.

Florida State could be a problem for UC. They are very good defensively and teams that can pressure UC on the perimeter give them trouble because of their tendency to dribble too much.

Sweet sixteen and then we beat Huggs!!!

UC, as they've needed to all year, needs to give the damn ball to Yancy. When he's open, he should touch it. No excuses. Dude has been unstoppable as of late.

All I know is my wife went to Texas, I went to UC, and we'll be at the game Friday!

If we lose I might beat her. I kid. But seriously.

I'm worried about fsu. They are on a roll

Agreed. I'm really hoping they suffer the same kind of over-confident letdown UC did against UL.

They have a huge goal in mind to win the ACC. Maybe they will let up? Hopefully? We will beat them if we come to play I believe, but it'd be nice if they weren't on fire from 3.

Re: Texas...I wonder if we go man or zone. Sounds like if we stop J'Covan Brown, we should be in good shape. Do we have someone that can keep him in check? Might be too much to ask Cash with his PG duties but I'm not sure Dion/Sean/Parker are quick enough. I wouldn't mind seeing a press in there with UT being young.

Re: FSU. From what I'm reading, I think us pressuring and forcing turnovers is our only chance. They have a balanced scoring attack so we need to win the Turnover battle.

Our only chance? We have a very comparable record if you take out 2 early season loses with jaquon.

You're right greatone. We'll win the National Championship for sure.

All kidding aside, "our only chance" was not the best choice of words. A player could have an SK/Syracuse, or Parker/Marquette type performance, or FSU could be shooting ice cold. I'm just saying FSU's D is legit and they have a balanced scoring attack BUT they turn the ball over a lot. Getting a lot of turnovers seems to be the BEST chance. Is that better?

No.

We just need to play our game. We dont need to have really high numbers in any one category. I think we are every bit as good as FSU. They know how to beat 2 teams without a couple of players.

OSU is outstanding however.
