:rolleyes: So trash talking to an opposing teams coach if it is a close game isn't classless but if it is a blow out- its classless? Come on...I mean, really?

Yes, after Holloway was in Guyn's face, Guyn was reaching to point in Tu's face/shove whatever, but if Wells doesn't step in and completely shove Guyn, nothing big happens. Guyn and Tu would have been separated and that's it.

Instead, you talk trash right in front of our bench and shove our freshman? I'm not sure how many schools would have had players just sit on the bench and not do anything. Of course they are going to protect their teammate. If XU fans can say Wells was protecting Holloway, so can we.

It's hilarious that everyone points out Yancy but doesn't point out the 5+ swings from Lyons, Wells, and their walk-on each. I'm pretty sure they weren't just swinging their fists for fun... including swinging at our strength coach, which wouldn't be a good idea.

I can't say I'm surprised it happened. Holloway has been a punk for 4 years (Butler water fountain, Dayton altercation, punch last year, known trash talker --> Lyons instigates him IMO) and Frease with the headbutt, and how he didn't shake hands after the UC game last year.

But yeah, you're totally right. UC started it, like always. Always our fault.

I don't know if the whole Frease/Mrs. Davis altercation is true, but they did have some footage of Frease stepping over the bench, pointing and screaming at UC fans in the first row on Fox19 news tonight. He looked like he was ready to attack, but was held back by like four people, screaming "F*** all of you" to three 50+ women and an elderly man. Sweet Kenny... S*** like that drives me nuts.

Ya I saw that. A 7'0 standing on a chair screaming at 60+ yr old ladys? Makes these reports seem possible...

Why did Mack even let them go out of the locker room!? Thats unbelievable to me.

He sure was. He was also saying he was going to f------ kill all of them. One of those ladies was the uc assistance coaches wife and daughter. But according to Mack, its okay, they are great kids with big hearts. Sickening....

Me, personally, I don't like trash talking at all. Can't stand when teams take it overboard. But when it's a close game, and you are trading buckets, it could actually serve as some motivation for the other team. For all we know XU could have gotten fired up by Lance talking.

I think it's different when you are talking shit with 10 SECONDS LEFT IN THE GAME UP 23. We get it, you guys are better. You kicked our asses. Go celebrate in the locker room with your team after the buzzer.

BTW, the whole thing with Tu saying he felt disrespected is complete BS. Read the transcript. SK says he doesn't want to answer the question and he'll let the fans decide. He's sticking up for his team. No matter what answer SK gave he would have had a fan base and players mad at him, whether it was Tu/Xavier or Cashmere/UC. He said Holloway is a great player and steps up in crunch time so that is just a lame excuse for Holloway and his thuggish ways.

I guess I just don't understand how you are mad at one person doing it, but the other you think is just fine. I don't know, I think both teams are to blame. I think the stuff said after the game in the press conference is going over board. I expected a lot worse then saying "gangstas". I mean, is that really what has everyone so upset?

Give it a few weeks to blow over and people may actually remember a game was played tonight.
 
Go watch the press conf, or did xavier finally remove it? It was a complete embarrassment on the part of the University.

If that where a UC player, I would want the player to be removed from the mic

Just give me the things that stick out. It honestly has to be more then "we are gangstas". Right? I mean...do people think that is that bad?
 
Also, how does Lyons not get ejected from that game. He attempted at least 5 punches and was the main instigator. Secondly I hope the refs get an investigation on them and they receive punishment for failing to do their job. They should be suspended from officiating games.
 
More thoughts on the game: UC wasn't even close. That is something that is over looked. Xavier was the much better team- from every stand point. UC still chucks threes. They will get a couple of good wins this year as a couple of games those threes will start to fall.

They should have gone to Gates more. The run at the end of the half by X killed UC. Well, the run at the end of the half, and the run to start the half. UC never stood a chance after that. X had scorers all over the court. Tough to guard. I thought UC fans were saying this was THE year for Mick. A lot has to change for that to be the case.

Sooo basically, just like many UC fans, your feelings were hurt because Xavier was talking trash. I mean, seriously? It's a rivalry, and your feelings get hurt because of trash talking?! You guys have gone soft. If you can't handle trash talking, maybe do something about it on the court.

Also, I think you nailed it on that last line there. :)

Dude, I think your just still a little too upset that your favorite team just got absolutely manhandled on national tv by their rival. It's funny, most UC fans are upset at the sucker punch, you seem to have thought Frease deserved it. Speaks volumes IMO.
