Let's face it, the name on the front of the jersey is more important to this committee than results. They have blatantly ignored bad losses when convenient to do so.

ESPN doesn't even have the latest AP rankings next to the seeds on their website (it's last week's rankings). Butler & Florida St lose today I have no idea what that means to committee. I do think we want Gonzaga winning over St Mary's which they are currently. Joe Lunardi said it doesn't matter what us and Wisconsin do in AP we aren't moving up. I have a bad feeling AP voters are going to vote according to committee's lead. We will see.

Thank goodness we have you here to set us straight.

You're welcome. Its called perspective and reality. All this possible #1 seed and #2 seed being "pretty much fact" talk is silly.

We are a 3 - 5 seed. Truthfully, that's what we are.

Either way, regardless of seed. I think we're headed for a long tourney run. We have all the components....depth, strong guard play, multiple options, length, rebounding, toughness, coaching, and maturity.

No one has to preach to me about our current scheduling, its been good. Im not complaining about it. We ridded our selves of a lot of those 300+ RPI games that plagued our other wise good schedule 2 years ago.

Im saying we need to step it up some how.

Or get left behind every single year no matter our record in conference play.

I mean, we may even want to sacrifice our ego a bit and try to just be an away game to a top p5 team.

Next years, early tourney is not going to get it done either. We can do better. IT will be hard but we can

We made it all the way to what 11/12 in Kenpom at the very beginning of our conference schedule. Which would tell me our non-conf was pretty good. We didn't start dropping til we started playing all the crap teams in our conference. So yeah just like what was said before, our conference needs to step it up. We need to have at least 4-5 teams in or bordering the top 5. Next year that should happen, we obviously know what we will be, add in SMU, UCONN who will be bringing back injured players and another good recruiting class in sure. Just a bad year for them, Tulsa is young and should be better next year, then UCF and Memphis who knows.

Yeah like I said before we have a pretty similar record as Arizona and they're getting a lot more love than us. And putting duke in is a joke, all because coach K is back and they beat UNC at home. Barely got by a not so good Clemson team. Just like CFB playoffs, name matters.

Your wisdom...it's inspiring!

How about this for wisdom - it's frequently not what you say that people react to; it's how you say it.

Perhaps a little more humility....

Just a thought.

I think the committee did us a favor. Kids are going to be playing with a big chip on their shoulders. Lack of respect is a heck of a motivator. Mick was complaining after the UCONN game about the team getting complacent and buying in to the hype. Well here is a slap in the face. Let's see how they react.

I am hoping the same thing. We seem to not have been playing as well recently. I hope this charges our kids up.

Exactly correct.
Think about it under the old system we would find out we were getting hosed by the committee 4 to 5 days from our first NCAA tourney game. We would be angry but thats about it. Now we have 5 weeks to prepare and be pissed off to shove it in committee's face. Watch out for the Bearcats & the Badgers come March tourney they will both be angry and prepared teams a very dangerous combination.

The sad part is Purdue and Wisconsin probably have a bigger gripe than we do. I dont think kenpom in the end all be all, but if I had to use one ranking system to bet games you better believe its going to be kenpom and Purdue is 10th and wisconsin is 12th.

The real sad part is how clear it is they still rely on the rpi, which is absolute trash. Oregon a 2 seed? On what planet. Straight kenpom rankings they aren't even top 16. They've lost to Georgetown and Colorado.

My eyes roll into the back of my head anytime anyone cites RPI. Can't stand it.
